i bet that if they excluded mobile statistics from it, the "game stats" would be completely different.

I did notice The ESA s supported by a Who s Who of games companies so the study is going to lean to their common interest both business and politcal no doubt- I m sure they published what tehy wanted to and may not or will not let some of the more in depth data out to the public

I may be wrong about 5%... but it's somewhere near the basement. It could be 10%... 15% maybe, like you said But it's low if I had to guess. I'd like a real poll and study done though so we could see. |
What? Of course there aren't going to be as many older women gamers, the medium didn't really open up to them until way after guys started playing video games. My brother is by all accounts a "hard core" skateboarder, but you're saying if he ever out of it he was never really that into it? Why do you have so many qualifiers for what makes a woman a gamer?
P.S. My sister turned 25 today, guess what her BF bought her. A N3DS XL.
Bet with Adamblaziken:
I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

of course you always have the models bringing the side down! http://weknowmemes.com/2012/12/video-game-models-are-so-bad-they/ |
Damn it that N64 is sexier than she is. It makes her look better.

I would be willing to bet that the stats on people moving from mobile gaming, to "hardcore" gaming would show very little movement at all. |
Yeah because Nintendo did such a great job capitalizing on their new users /s

i doubt... i am not sure what is her net worth but even if she have 200 million which is very unlikely i am pretty sure that half of it came from that game... |
100 million from the game is a pretty conservative estimate. People forget that the top grossing iOS and Android titles are huge. Like, bigger than 99% of all console/PC video games.

Yeah I was thinking about the numbers from the links I put in http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=7223535 post and if you would compare those numbers to Candy Crush users of whom 97% do not pay any money to play the game just enjoying the free parts of it. So if you look at the daily user figure at 2.5m and go for 3% of that you still have 75k people per day who play it and would spend cash in it, massive numbers if you were to think those users even spent a dollar per day that's be $525000 per week from it. Crazy money.
Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

$1/day seems quite low. As someone has recently quit a very competitive game that was freemium, I know people who were spending $50/week often. During big events, I had allies spending more than $500 for a single event. These games have their whales.

That sounds paranoid.
