Bloodborne comes out, sells faster than any Souls game.

It sells because of critical acclaim and positive media buzz.

That's a lot more than i was expecting. I think i predicted 450k for week 1?
Anyway, it seems the sales are well deserved! I won't be picking up a copy until I've finished with Yakuza 4 and Pokemon X, but I've heard almost nothing but good things from people who already own it.

Yeah there were some voices who thought it would bomb because it's not multiplatform, some even claimed the Souls fanbase was not on Playstation but on PC lol. Apparently From's "betrayal" paid off. Being a PS4 exclusive and of such high quality gave it more prestige, it became a system seller.
