-The best users left , we have some great ones still , we have smeags , rol , axumblade, MDM etc, but we lost so much good users, like basilzero and 80 % ( acurate value here xD ) of the great playstation users.

Why thank you, I am a great user.

- Lack of leadership. My advice to anyone looking at making such a venture as their own site would be to ensure they are always and 100% committed to every single user. Fortunately we have a strong mod team and now a good Writing tea,  but there is little to no activity above and beyond that.

You're posts are always interesting to read, Cone. You're the most proactive mod too. You show an appropriate amount of professionalism and quirkinesses in each of your posts, which is a sign of a good user who happens to be a committed mod. Other mods are great too when they actually engage with the community. However, I've noticed there were periods when the team was very strict with the rules and very loose in others.

I love the diverse community. I love the intelligent users, and I adore the sarcastic ones. The community is the reason I've joined of course. We still have the usual divisive threads. They're not as entertaining as they used to because they lost their novelty to me. Some users are not aware for the fact that they're not just posting their opinions but also creating content for both users and lurkers. I wish they can be more critical or more polite in how they interpret bad news. I'm well aware that they're not representatives of anything but it's annoying that these threads are the most active ones. They make me question what I'm doing here sometimes.

This post is not a response you're post, Cone (just the first part). I just wanted to say how awesome you are because sometimes dogs and Mudkip gifs are not enough :P.

Yes indeed. Mr.PlayStation made such a thread if I recall?

And that's fair enough Jay. Being a Mathematician more data is always good, particularly for such a large project.

I hardly consider a thread with me giving reasons why VGChartz is better than other forums  making a mockery of the site and how it's run and trying to get information from other users.

OT: + The mods actually interact with the community in a normal manner ( i.e. not pretending their gods )

        - Not much really I don't know why everyone is so negative.

The community is what makes this forum.

While we have big problems with specific users, the sales data, the overwhelming ads and a lack of a mobile version... I think things here are as good as they have ever been when it comes to general forum discussion.

People move on, new people join. The "management" of the site changes from time to time and things stay fresh.

Despite the website being abandoned for a long period of time, the community has been strong. With the new updates and life being injected into the site, hopefully we are about to hit a period of growth

Now that I can I'll give you my take on this little project you have!

The community is the main reason why I come to VG Chartz.
There are a couple of negatives but the worst is that the numbers are never up to date. Also Smeags needs banning.

No Mr.Playstation! Please don't shout at meeeee!

For clarity, I don't know what Jay is doing and no doubt he's asking for more data which is always good. I also don't feel like Jay is making a "mockery of the site", that's poor wording and I apologize for that. I'm just as curious as everyone else, at the end of the day.

All I do know is that whatever happens, I have full confidence that Jay will use whatever he learns from this and use it to improve this "project" he mentioned for the better. I think what is clear looking from everyone's posts and opinions is that people come here for the community. So long as there is a strong community, it seems people are willing to overlook things like late numbers and broken site features (though the latter is being fixed, thanks to our hero Trucks). It's why maintaining the strong community is key, as Carl (and others) said earlier.

Then again, we've discussed this before a few times so I'll say no more on the matter. Aside from, perhaps, good luck.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
