I never realized how poorly (so far) the 3DS is doing in comparison to other Nintendo handhelds :O

There's nothing to miss, the 3DS is the worst performing Nintendo handheld and will go on to become the worst selling one in every major market but Japan.

Nintendo have lose market in the US... At least, compared to Europe and Japan 3DS is doing at the same level of GBA.
