OT: Honestly... kinda agree with Noble. I like the collections, not so much with the recent one off remasters. If they do like Gears of War 3 I'll be skipping that. However if they do a collection, I might consider it. I do see Nintendo get more of a pass since they have older games. I've given them passes in the past as well. Like for Xenoblade, I'm not buying that as it's more of a downgrade honestly. 

Good: People who didn't play them gets to play them/achievements-trophies/widening the audience/help funding for future games. 

Bad: Milking can lead to laziness/price can be an issue if too high.

I want AAA versions of well known franchises
I want new AAA IPs
I want a great variety of Indies
I want free to play games
I want the best possible performance from a multiplat
I want REMASTERS of all the classics

I neither think remasters are good OR bad, I just think remasters are another choice.

They are amazing. We should upgrade to new consoles just to keep playing the same games.

Quantity =/= Less Quality

If all of the new games out seem like shit then thats unfortunate but remasters have nothing to do with that. Its not like we can say if X or Y remaster wasn't made, Uncharted would be out now or The Order would have been a better game lol. Its like blaiming Indies for weak AAA performance. Remasters are merely an optional addition to the console line up, in their absence we would be recieving nothing. At most maybe a game by the team releasing 2 months earlier

Its a cop-out. Instead of making a new game, they just repaint an old one. People who think its great only gives them more of a reason to keep doing it. What if repainting them becomes too much? Maybe they can just port PS3 games and charge 50$ for them. I mean many might not have played the PS3 version after all...and we wouldnt want them to miss out, now would we? Lets all hold hands and pray for world peace everyone.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone remaster a bad game.

I asked for GOW3, and who has to ask for them? Isnt the point companies make products to try and sell to us? We vote with our wallets, so there is people asking...
