He's joking around on twitter. It's not exactly an attack on nintendo. Some of you people need to relax a little....

Nothing much to say.

No one got offended but you daredevil.  Most of us Nintendo fans just look at him making a silly joke and only took it that way.  Your thread and thread title are the only things that people may have gotten worked up about.  You're just creating controversy where there is none, and then attacking us for responding to it.  And to the person who came in and said "Where is he trolling?"  Those words were out of his mouth, not any of ours.

I could have swore I heard of that guy before. Isn't he some washed up developer who can't make anything besides a shooter?

His washed up games sold 19+ million copies. Made billions and gave gamers tons of entertainment. Thats who he is.

And he's still a rookie compared to the people at Nintendo. Anyways... Who cares? A gray developer trying to funny, nothing special.

Well Nintendo will also be laughing all the way to the bank with the amount of stock price they're gaining from going mobile.

Mobile market is a very very risky market. Nintendo isnt guaranteed to win mobile market. If I were you I wouldnt have said it.

Basically what everyone said. Nintendo's franchises are quite established, even if you say the Wii U is not selling well, its quite hard for someoen not to know who Mario is or what Pokemon are, and all of these are beloved franchises. If Nintendo plays their cards right and do make 'Original games', but are still optimized for mobile use, then i wouldn't see why they wouldn't make money, and even in worst case-scenarios, i doubt tonnes of money would be pumped into these mobile games, so even if it isn't as popular, they would at the very least break even, and even then there was still some advertisement in it for them.

who?......

It's a Japanese video game company.

OT: Sounds like Cliff is trolling mobiles more than he's laughing at Nintendo, but what do I know. Demand for Super Mobile Mario seems to be decent though, so I guess paying for jumping power, items, 1-UP's etc. would be a welcomed feature. And it could definitely lead to Nintendo increasing the difficulty so they can sell more stuff.

Hahaha. Good one :D

I hope  Nintendo doesn´t fill up their games with that kind of microtransactions. I believe they would follow Pokemon Shuffle model: you can play with limited lives that refill gradually, but you can buy items that make gameplay easier or last longer before running out of tries/lives.
