You don't remember the 6th gen Spyros because they were horrible. If you played them, your mind has blocked them out, and you're lucky. I only wish I could forget. Skylanders dug up Spyro's corpse and mutilated it, and worse. Then they discarded the used corpse and you don't see Spyro in Skylanders anymore. Only Insomniac can save Spyro now, by bringing back his old character design, and returning to classic gameplay. It will never happen though.

I'm just worried that Spyro/Crash of old wouldn't work in a new title. The best I can hope for is a hd remake because I don't think a new game in the same style would work. They'd have to change it too much probably. I hope the do a new crash/spyro game but I very much doubt either of them will be similar to the original 3 games in their respective series.

I'd love a true Spyro 4 as well! Insomniac still have developers capable of making a great platformer (R&C team). It's different with Naughty Dog. Nowadays they're masters of rich and mature character driven storytelling but would probably have to hire new people to make a new Crash or Jak (Sanzaru Games could make a great Jak 4 though).

Definitely. The original Spyro trilogy is etched into my history, for various reasons. Another game in the same vein would be awesome...

...but it might ruin those memories.

I'd prefer a new franchise, but yeah we definitely need more of these kind of games although need to evolve somewhat because I've played some of the old adventure platformers recently and they haven't aged that well.

I really do hate developers simply following trends as opposed to being trend setters.

They should make a Jak4, one studio i;d trust with the ip
