I've played the first 3 on PS1 to death especially as a kid. I'm not sure if they made many spyros on the ps2 and i dont remember playing them. Anyway way safe to say they ain't cult classics like the 3 ps1 games.  

Everyone would love a crash bandicoot 4 but the problem is naughty dog are owned by Sony.  Insomniac however are not so they could ask Activision to employ them to make a proper sequel to Spyro 3. It could be on PS4, X1 and PC. I think that would be epic. 

Considering the success of skylanders this could probably do alright especially on ps4 where the fans who loved it on PS1 would be all over it!  

Ps: are there spyros on the ps2 and are they any good? 

Don't stick with past. These type of games wont sell well in modern market. Let go the past.

A once off remake of a hugely successful classic series can do well!  Especially if returned to the original developer.  Insomniac are still making quality titles like resistance,  Ratchet and Clank and sunset overdrive.  They would definitely do an awesome job with it. 

I doubt they'd go that route. While I would love a true Spyro 4, Insomniac has moved on from that.

Maybe when skylanders is worn out. Till then that's where spyro is staying

The way they're going it might not be as far off as that. There's definitely people who are getting over the excess amount of figures they're pumping out. 

I really dont get the appeal of those figures. Especially when they're over price.  

Collectors mostly. The games are quite good as well which is a bonus. 

I'd love to that. Spyro Year of the Dragon was one of my favorite games on ps1.
