I can see the game doing 1.5-2 millions based on the previous souls games. anything over that is great.

Depends a little on how good and how accessible it is compared to Demon's Souls. I wasn't crazy about Demon's Souls when I platinumed it and can see why it didn't sell more than it did.

I'd be positively surprised if it does over 2 million, so I doubt it.

Dark Souls total: 2.9m

Dark Souls II total: 1.7m

Demon's Souls was the start of something new - It was even pretty hard to get for a long time and not advertised at all.
It was pretty much word of mouth and people who somehow got their hands on it told other people to try it out

Dark Souls 1 - Released in a Gen with Xbox360 and PS3 going neck by neck
3 Million sold.....2 Million sold on the PS3 and 1 Million sold on the 360
And i think as of now 1 Million on PC but those are mostly inflated by 5$ steam sales

Dark Souls 2 released at a time when PS360 weren't relevant anymore
I got it on PC cause i couldn't bother anymore with the old systems.This is why we get a remaster
But it sold according to this site 1,15 Million on PS3 and half a million on the 360.If this game was digital available it probably sold more on PS3 too hence the recent statistics of how Playstation is beasting in the digital department.

So now lets look at this Gen
The PS4 is the King - THere is nothing coming close.
There is no neck to neck scenario especially not worldwide.
Even in the Last Gen the PS3 Version outsold the 360 Version of the Dark Souls Game by a lot while both consoles had an equal install base.

Remember - 2 Million at least sold on PS3 of Dark Souls 1

And you think,Bloodborne can't sell a mere 2,5 Million?Really?
One of the most wanted games in recent years that will deliver in quality?
Most X360 people went with the PS4 especially those that want these kind of games - PC people are so hungry for Bloodborne they buy a PS4 for it(probably not sooo many of course).

This is like saying Persona 5 would sell A LOT more if they release it on the X1
Or Dragon Quest Heroes and so on....Hell the PS3 Version of Ground Zeroes outsold the Xbox Versions combined EASILY.
These type of games don't need the Xbox and especially NOT IN THIS GEN where the PS4 is the only logical choice for 99% of all gamers.

Bloodborne will easily sell those 2,5 Million.
PS4 is setting records left and right and is beasting even in months that are usually weak
Bloodborne is probably one of the most wanted games in recent gaming history
Hype Hype Hype and this time as it seems big advertisement campaigns and you hear/read about it everywhere
Miyazaki Hype especially after DS2 (which wasn't done by the usual guys) was so much worse than the previous games.
