I'm definitely not happy about it, MSFT can't give PC the games and free xbl. Fable Legends, Ori, State of Decay.....ok, but if they get Halo 5, Gears, Forza and free xbl that is just deisrespecful.

They gutted their entire PC presence, in order to create a need for people to buy an Xbox in the first place.  If you aren't aware that these companies are capable of simply ignoring an entire segment of their consumer base to further their own ends, I'm not really sure what else to tell you.

Yep, Phil Spencer did appologize for ignoring their PC base (Well..whatever amount they had).

I don't care about all that, I'm not paying for something that others get free,  I don't care about steam, psn, wii online......but, if PC get the same xbl I pay for, I will either 1)stop buying xbl 2)get a laptop powerful enough to play games since I am planning to get a new one this year.

Of course you don't.  It's perfectly fine if a company shits all over people who aren't you, no reason at all you should be concerned that they could do that to you in the future...oh wait.

You make abslutely no sense and why should I care about platforms I didn't purchase. I don't game on PC, so therefore I don't care about steam or how PC gamers play online. I own an Xbox with a added perk that I purchase called xbl. I don't know how you spend your money, but I don't spend money on things others get for free. We can stop the back and forth here though, I really don't care if you agree or disagree with me.

The problem Microsoft has with me, is they basically made it a yearly thing, make a statement about how much PC still matters to them, and only now...after so fucking long, they're finally showing SOME movement.  Well, that amounts to jack and shit for me.  It's going to take quite some time for Microsoft to earn back my trust, and a heck of allot more enticing.  All they've done is bring back part of what was industry standard pre-360.  Now, make standalone/private servers, mapmaking and mod tools an industry standard once again, and we'll actually be back to 2005.

Didn't read, and don't care.  If you have absolutely no sense of anyone outside yourself, or of the broader ramifications adopting shitty policies that these companies come up with, there's really nothing further to discuss with you.

What do they expect? Pc gamers had free online for years and they similar to xbox live with steam. It won't make sense with pc gamers paying for online where they have it free. If they want free then be a pc gamers. Pc and console are very different machine. Plus live is cheap and if you cannot pay for it , then you cna't afford to buy games

Microsoft wasn't so adept to that understanding. They tried to make them pay for WIndows Live last gen and failed. Thats how they pretty much figured they had to back off and even if they tried it would only hurt them strategically going up against Steam.

Its not even going to be much movement. MS is going to have to start throwing more exclusives at PC gamers. If they do that then the console gamers have ever right to throw their consoles out the window. MS would've sold them out and the biggest mistake MS could ever make is pissing off the console gamers.

What is there to be angry about? PC is an open platform where these services almost always are free. I have XBLG because it does give me online on console, doesn't cost much AND give me free games for X1 and 360 every month (thanks to Sony btw :)). So its totally worth it and nothing has really changed since before.

The only people who would be pissed at this are ignorant console gamers who don't really understand how the world works and the different markets that exist between PC and console. I am sure you could find just as many relevant people "furious" that online play is $50 a year on PS4 and $0 a year on PS3.

If people want to get irate about paying more, it should be in regards to games. PC gamers get much better shit at much cheaper prices. The benefits of an open market.

Ultimately, I think this is actually the sticky situation microsoft have made for themselves.  Many of their games come to PC anyway, so you're absolutely right, the console core might get disenfranchised, whereas, much of Sony's 1st party studios do not develop for PC.  Which gives them a bit more flexibility, in this regard (I've never paid for PS+ though, hate MP on console).

So, it'll be interesting to see how Microsoft handles it.  Will they do virtually the same thing to their console fans, that they did to their PC fans?  A big middle finger and 'deal with it', or, will they come up with something else?

but could you imagine it? Sony would be forced to go back to the PS3 way and that would be great for everything

Mmm... That´s a good point.

Anyway if Sony is selling like a beast they could think that they don´t need to make it free this generation. Idk

But I wish it happens, Microsoft would be fixing the problem that they created years ago on the industry, it would be a nice redemption and probably good for every console gamer.

naw. I think Sony learned their lesson with PS3 launch and even what had happened to MS with their Xbone reveal. They are not going to do anything that makes them look like the bad guy, that is bad for buisness as Sony MS hell everyone at some point learned the hard way.
