Considering this thread is about "big exclusive games" and not "internally developed games", yea, you did set the goalpost to your benefit

Another person who is mistaken. Here, let me help you. STAGE says this:

Microsoft has never been a year round exclusives kind of company unless third parties are making games for them. Thats more of a Nintendo and Sony thing. Most of Microsoft's titles are coming in third and fourth quarter.

There are two things to take away from this.

1. Microsoft apparently never ever ever has 1st party games year round. They apparently have outsourced games earlier in the year, and most of their own titles come later in the year.

2. Only Sony and Nintendo apparently have a year round stable of steady 1st party exclusives.

Which is what I challenged. He is the one who set the criteria. Must be an exclusive, and must not be from an outside company. Hope that helps, and this is the last reply I will make on this matter.

Sony and Nintendo do launch a lot of their titles at sporadic times of the year. I think its a mistake that they launch their even some of the mid tier first party at the first and second quarter sometimes, but they do. It just shows how much they have and how willing they are to spread it out. Nintendo is essentially forced to do so with their exclusives because of the lack of third party.

Microsoft on the other hand has an pretty much even share of multiplats with Sony and has been noticed to still launch their games 3rd to 4th quarter. Of course we all know its strategy, but really....is it only that?

Seriously it doesnt matter how many exclusives a company has man. It is ALL about the quality. Who cares if for example MS has a 2:1 ratio in the year 2017 for exclusives over SONY, what matters is how good the game is.  I dont want shovelware exclusives coming out each year just so fanboys can say PS4 or X1 is domainating thier competition when it comes to exclusives. Well guess what, what happends if 3/4 quarters of those games are terrible and not worth 60 bucks where the competition has released half as many but they are well worth day 1 purchase.

I know which scneario i will choose

Microsoft has more studios than Sony and Nintendo and you're arguing a quantity vs quality argument with me? .....Dude. Lets focus on the point though, bro. Its about Microsofts big games always coming out in 3rd and 4th quarter. Stick to that.

These are the games i'm looking forward to on the XB1 this year, big games in my mind don't have to be AAA. =)

Do you actually only buy exclusives?  The exclusive thirst thing going around must me true!

imo ps4 has less exciting exclusives for this year. Although I like ps4's release schedule more, it doesnt change the fact that 2015 is better for the xbox one imo! They just happen to come out one after another after all.besides xbox one will most likely have thse games from september-december not november to december :p

Just remember that you may like the PS4's 2015 release schedule more, but it came at the expense of 2014. Where after MLB you had like... Driveclub and LBP3 in terms of big retail releases and that's it (I might be forgetting something). MS has less in terms of quantity for 2015 (that we know of anyway, and I might even be wrong here), but I still need to play most of the many games they put out in the last chunk of 2014. Haven't touched season two of Killer Instinct, need to play D4, would love to get time to dive into Horizon 2, haven't touched Master Chief Collection, and I'm only a few hours into Sunset.

And you're right about excitement. It doesn't matter how many games are out if they aren't any good. A huge deal was made about The Order and it stinks.

In term of quantity, X1 didnt really have a better 2014 than PS4, it was pretty much the same, depending on tastes, dont try to change the reality by "forgetting "many PS4 games to downplay 2015 on PS4 and to excuse 2015 on One

Especially if you are counting games like  Killer Instinct and MCC, one being a game also on PC, the other a collection

Talking to fast, i meant " will be on PC" , http://shoryuken.com/2014/12/10/microsoft-gathering-community-opinions-on-porting-killer-instinct-to-pc/

Very hard to not believe it after that

A lot of people treating it like a tactic Microsoft sought for, If any of the games were ready for Q1/2 I'm sure they'd release them lol

Fable Legends and Quantum break will probably be Q3. (July-September)

Microsoft invested in a ton of teams but not until 2013, sonys had a shit load of teams collaborating with them since 2007. They were more prepared for this gen in regards to exclusives. Microsoft is playing catch up but third party support is strong so X1 will sell great in Q1/Q2 (obviously not a touch on PS4)

2016 should be far more balanced for them. lets not forget sony was a mess last year (MS not a ton better), Infamous, Driveclub and LBP3 being the only big exclusives across a whole year.
