Microsoft has never been a year round exclusives kind of company unless third parties are making games for them. Thats more of a Nintendo and Sony thing. Most of Microsoft's titles are coming in third and fourth quarter.

Certainly hasn't been a Sony thing this gen. 2014 they had Infamous and baseball early in the year and then it was nothing until Driveclub. This year so far there has been nothing, and there is nothing on the horizon until what, Uncharted 4? I guess there is baseball again, if you count that as exclusive.

Looking over the list of internally developed Sony PS4 exclusives for 2015, there must be something I am missing. Or is Uncharted 4 really all there is known thus far?

Way to set the goalposts to your benefit.  Instead let's look at games Sony brought to increase the value proposition of PS4.

Last year there was TLoU Remastered in July, First Light, FF14, LBP3 in November.  Many of those are cross platform but still increase value of PS4 with stuff you can't get on X1.

This year you're missing The Order, Ryme, Bloodborne, Ratchet Reboot, Dying Light, NMS, and other indies which all add to PS4's value in a similar manner with many being outright exclusive.  3rd party exclusives and platform and console exclusives still count for PS4 just like Ori, Titanfall, Forza Horizon 2, Dead Rising, and Ryse all count for X1.

Idk man, try reading the posts you're replying to? I am not the one who set the goalposts. Hope that helps.

Considering this thread is about "big exclusive games" and not "internally developed games", yea, you did set the goalpost to your benefit (because it's not necessarily Sony owned studios making their exclusives throughout the year). Internally developed games are exclusive, yes, but big exclusives aren't always internally developed. Nowhere is anyone talking about exclusives being first party. They're talking about exclusive games, period. It's why Rise of the Tomb Raider was mentioned in the OP.

When S.T.A.G.E. said "most of Microsoft's titles are coming in the 3rd and 4th quarter", he didn't mean exclusively 1st party games. He meant that's when MS unleashes its big exclusives (1st party, 3rd party, timed exclusive or console exclusive). Guess that went over your head and you shrunk the criteria to "internally developed games" in order to say "where are Sony's games, then?"....presumably because having all your big exclusive games saved for the holiday period (the only months that "count" according to Phil Spencer himself) instead of spreading them out over the year is a bad thing? And since that's the case with Xbox, you make up criteria to drag Playstation down as well? Well, take it up with MS. Those are the only months that count to them.

Another person who is mistaken. Here, let me help you. STAGE says this:

There are two things to take away from this.

1. Microsoft apparently never ever ever has 1st party games year round. They apparently have outsourced games earlier in the year, and most of their own titles come later in the year.

2. Only Sony and Nintendo apparently have a year round stable of steady 1st party exclusives.

Which is what I challenged. He is the one who set the criteria. Must be an exclusive, and must not be from an outside company. Hope that helps, and this is the last reply I will make on this matter.

There will be a big exclusive thirst come fall but at least one of those will be delayed to Q1 2015.  No way they crowd them all and leave nothing for early next yea

They have tons of games for early next year. quantum break for one :p

edit: QB is listed in op. i dont think that will make it this year. Also Who says theyy dont already have games for early next year that they havent anounced?

And yet during the holidays certain people will conveniently forget the first 10 months of the year...

imo ps4 has less exciting exclusives for this year. Although I like ps4's release schedule more, it doesnt change the fact that 2015 is better for the xbox one imo! They just happen to come out one after another after all.besides xbox one will most likely have thse games from september-december not november to december :p

So no love for games like Screamride, Ori And The Blind Forest, Happy Wars or State Of Decay.

Always the answer isn't it?  If we drop to minors the PS4 has tons.

Ahhh dude...you listed indies and a FFVII port...

What I said was in response to "What system selling exclusives does PS4 have?"  and I said: "Jan ~ Holidays: The Order, Bloodborne, Ratchet, MLB, Until Dawn, No Man's Sky, SF4, Final Fantasy 7 (lol).  There are more (Japanese) games too.  It's not that much either tbh, but it's a lot more than on XB1."

That's 5 retail 1st party games.  The post I was replying to had little to compare.

State of Decay for SF4?  Deal.  I put SF4 because I do think it can sell some systems actually.

Ori for No Man's Sky.  I don't really think they compare, but fair enough.

Which one does Screamride compare to?  Bringing up Screamride in my thread titled "XB1's big games in 2015..." is close to trolling really.

My 8th gen collection

Well it may suck to for others but not for me. All of these "exclusives" are generally being released later q3 and q4 which suits me heavily as I am meant to be studying and stuff for exams.

Like I said, it will suck for some, but I am grateful for it.

It's the Rocky strategy of console wars... Go 10 months taking some beatings and then unleash in the 11th and 12th months with hit after hit... Halo 5, Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Quantum Break, Gears of War Collection, Fable Legends, and thats not even countring the big megaton timed exclusive from Bethesda..... ruh roh...

Yeah I'm calling it now, a timed exclusive so big that Bethesda has to have their own show just so that the massive shitstorm doesn't overwhelm Microsoft's already stacked E3 conference... Shit is going to get real this year folks and bitter tears are going to be flowing like liquor at an Irish wake.  So don't worry about Microsoft kids, worry about their haters.

I'd rather have 6 awesome AAA games during the holiday than The Order: 1886 in February and maybe Uncharted 4 in November. Xbox One's 2015 lineup is a lot stronger than the PS4.

Pneuma: Breath of Life, 2/27
Ori and The Blind Forest, 3/11
Neverwinter Online, 3/31, even though its coming to PS4 at a later date, no date has yet be set, which could get a release this year or next.
State of Decay 4/28
Killer Instinct Season 2, all characters should be available by Fall
Killer Instinct Season 3
Halo 5, my guess Nov.
Rise of the Tomb Raider, rumored late this year
Forza Motorsport 6
Space Engineers
Inside
Below
Game 4
Happy Wars
Ghost of A Tale
World of Tanks
Psycho-Pass
Lifeless Planet
Cuphead
Raiden
Halo 3: ODST [The Master Chief Collection] rumored Fall
Smite
Quantum Break
Massive Chalice
Fable Legends, late Fall/early Winter

These are the games i'm looking forward to on the XB1 this year, big games in my mind don't have to be AAA. =)
