Heh. Don't play Vanquish then. As much as I love that game, it saddens me that the end is a huuuuuuge cliffhanger and there will be no sequel. :(

Oh really?, hmm..  damn..    in completely unrelatedmaybe news, nda's sure suck don't they?

Nda? Non-Disclosure Agreement?

And I have no way of knowing if there will be a sequel or not. Considering the sales of Vanquish, and considering the state of SEGA, well...

This game is going to be around 65 on metacritics at most. But some reviewers are excited for what the next game will bring and still score the game low "while being excited" about the possible next one...

"Reading several of the worst reviews they reflect what I expected. Some reviewers still holding on to bad PR statements and using them to fuel their desire for something to be worse than it actually is. The game is far from revolutionary but it is also not a bad game this is pretty pathetic, journalism at its worst.

Looking at the scores of more recent games and then looking at the score the Order received just confirms these scores were set in stone quite a while ago."

This is exactly the attitude that is making its way over to this forum, sadly.

Is this your way of warning me ;)

If I wanted to warn you, I'd have kicked down your door, ripped off your clothes and pushed you onto the bed.

Erm...actually that's not a warning. That was something else...

Anyway someone mentioned something good earlier. This game has been in development for 5 years (or around that), it's almost certainly at this point going to underperform and it's a new IP. Which is a shame, because even if the game isn't the best it doesn't mean it doesn't have potential. Sadly we'll likely never see that now.

It's okay my clothes are already off, I just finished up with iceland :)

It's gonna be fun watching the rating go up and down today. My new prediction is 68.

You make a good point; PR and other events can influence a game and its review, but that's also something that works both ways. I think a 70 on Metacritic would a reasonably accurate representation of the game, looking at reviews and some of the gameplay on YT.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

As much as i think this franchise has potential, this game deserves to be trashed by reviewers.Supporting a game that devalues our money so much is bad message for developers.People should wait this game to be cheaper to buy it.

The franchise has zero potential if it fails to sell except for a few hundred thousand in the bargain bin. Sony sure won't greenlight a second hack at this world the game fails to break even. So that's the challenge for people who want the game to fail critically (and thus financially) as a punishment, but want to see further games in this world. What are you going to do? ON the flip side, if the game does well enough financially then will RaD have learned anything and take steps to significnatly improve?

I was always a bit worried about whether RaD had what it took to fly solo on somewhat of a linchpin game for PS4. It is taking PS4 a long time to hit a home run with an exclusive AAA game and it is a shame that they are going to have to rely on past gen franchises to give them that home run. As much as I am looking forward to more games from 7th gen franchises, I need to see some outstanding new properties.

I hope Sony Santa Monica is working on something other than God of War 4.

The NX will be a 900p machine
