Is PC Master Race the way forward?

PC gaming for me is cyclical. I usually get back into it when the console generation gets stale, usually towards the end of it. That's when the hardware shows its age most and great games get released further in-between.

As an effect to that, I spend less and less on console stuff, so I have more cash available to upgrade or change my PC. Usually, it happens every 5 or so years.

That being said, I'm not a fan of PC gaming. To me, it's convenient and all, but I don't have the same thrill gaming on PC as I have on a brand new console.

In the end, I'm a Sony and Nintendo fan first and foremost. Been like that forever and I see no reason for this to change.

Good for you, kapi. It's nice to know that you won't ignore consoles completely!

This happens around the end and start of a new generation, eventually a ton of new gen games will take over the consoles again.

Wrong Thread T_T

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

When did it happen, OP ?

I changed from ps3 master race to ps4 master race. I'll soon be changing back to ps3 to get through my massive backlog. Oh the joys of ps plus

I will say PC gaming has become more attractive in recent years, but it has nothing to do with specs for me. Comes down to games and if Japan keeps moving towards PC options I will be more interested.

Welp, it's finally happening, I'm starting to favour PC gaming again. So far this decade I've favoured every platform (well, all the good ones anyways) at one time or another and now I'm going all master race again. I'm finally getting interested in Steam Achievements and then they throw Steam sale after Steam sale at me, how could I resist?

I guess all I can say now is, all hail the PC Master Race!

Has anyone else changed their preferred platform this much?

@Bolded: What were the bad ones..............

OT: Yes, for some time I wanted to support 3rd parties on Wii U. I got like AC 3, and Darksiders 2, then I realized that was kind of it. Then Rayman's delay hit and realization sunk in. Went from Wii U as preferred console for 3rd parties which lasted very briefly to Xbox.

Edit: yeah you should play less Xbox from now on Kapi. Steam achievements > Xbox achievements. :)

That's kinda how I've been feeling the past year, I've got a backlog of games yet I'm not feeling the umf to play most of them, I'll play one for hours and hours but by the enxt day I won't pick it up again.

I want to get a new console sure but I'm not really seeing that many games to justify sinking a lot of money into, I know I want a Wii U first and a N3DS as soon as that drops down in price, might just trade in my current model to cut it down though since I want MH pretty badly and the extra nub use.

OT: Welcome to the mile high club where the drinks are cold and the deals cheap, I've always liked Steam sales myself, I like Origin's free games but Uplay is probably the worst client out of them all since it doesn't hand out free games, has facebook and ads and social media plastered all around it and even if you have a game installed on Steam and try playing a ubi game it will launch Uplay and demand you download and install the game all over again, that and ubi's sales are pretty jewish.

Apart from that I'm looking forward to grabbing some new PC parts in the coming weeks, with more hours grabbed for the enxt few weeks at work and my rebate of £500 come in I'm pretty set to grab maybe a Wii U and GTX 980 with the new PC parts already saved for.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Nope. PC all the way, but I'll buy anything if it is good. However you can't beat the power of the PC at the moment.

In-game ^^

Woah, that does look incredible! What game is that?

Star Citizen. It is still in alpha, but fully playable and had insane funding; https://robertsspaceindustries.com/ Frankly, it is the only game I'm looking forward to.

NB. That pic is a screenshot I took in game =D No hollow promises from this game!
