Forums - Gaming Discussion - Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor revealed in this month's EDGE

Such fantastic news!

And I'm proud to say I guessed this was the Banjo news Grant Kirkhope was teasing in January.

This is brilliant! This will be way better than Microsoft's upcoming failing attempt at making a Banjo-Kazooie game. If it comes to the Wii U it's probably going to sell decent as well.

Hasn't even been revealed/announced yet.. smh.

Rare still owns the Banjo IP, and RARE is owned by MS now, so I highly doubt this, unless im reading it wrong

The key words are spiritual successor.

They already stated that Rare is working on some of their old IPs. It's safe to assume that Banjo-Kazooie is one of them. Also, the current Rare does not posses the skill to make a worthy sequel. I trust in the old devs to make a worthy spiritual successor though.

Before things get out of hand: do not use this thread as a platform to bash Microsoft and/or Rare without justification.

You'll probably have to continue waiting a bit more since we haven't really heard about it lately! :/

I never played Banjo, so I'd be interested in playing this, even though I thought DK64 was terrible.

Interesting. We really don't get a lot of 3D platformers these days so hopefully this will be worth checking out.

Im going to predict Nintendo or Ubisoft publishing it.
