You can listen mp3s already, I want external drive support and be able to load video from an USB but Sony won't do it, the rest is unnecessary.

From your previous sentence, it seemed to me like you were complaining. If I misunderstood, I appologize to you. But there are still plenty of people who do such a thing. |
Why would i complain? I just wanted to add what was said before and how it is now and it wasn't mentioned before.

Friend notifications and offline trophy viewing would be nice. not too fussed about anything else. I switch off the power at night and when im not at home for my stuff including the PS4 and internet, so the standby features are useless for me even if they do come.
Does raise the question though how big their team actually is and what they are being paid to do.

Again, sorry. I don't even know what an apu or arm are, so I have no complaints, as it does work as promised: Downloads while in standby... A few watts of electricity is irrelevant

You have too much faith in Sony lol. They will never learn from the past . Just look at psvita. They still use their own memory card which was a ba dproblem when the psp was around. When the psvita came out, you would expect to have microsd support, but sony as usal went for the more expensive option , which is what we have here for ps4. It was the same for the ps3 but games then weren't as big as they are now. . i was referring ot internal. that was a typo sorry

Yeah that's not the same thing. Mlb devs said they had to leave out the sounds of the show feature because it doesn't work with the usb player. It's not just playing music while you game. Its assigning 5 second clips of songs to each batter for their walk up music. It's importing custom chants, cheers, and jeers into the game. On the PS3 you would download a whole folder of MP3s via usb stick or dlna then assign the sounds in game. The mlb community would put together whole packages of sounds to share and make the game experience more like real mlb. On the ps4 version those features are completely gone.
I want them to fix essensial things. The message system is broken. I have to wait several minutes to read a message i recieve.
I want some more apps like Skype, Twitter etc. Also, custom themes (static pictures as background)
Spotify (PlayStation Music) is coming this spring, which is awesome.
And yes, the updates are released too rarely.

Saying sony will never learn from the past is just wrong. Look at how they learned from the ps3 and turned a console struggle into worldwide domination with the ps4. There are 64gb memory cards available for the vita. More than enough.
It needs better updates for sure. I was browsing the OS the other day and its just seems so basic.
