Cel shaded games in general tend to age well.

Might of missed it, but I'm surprised no one said Dragon Quest VIII on PS2. That game looks phenomenal to this day.

How could I forget this? So true

It, and cel shaded games like Wind Waker have an unfair advantage, imo.  They look like cartoons, it's hard to age a cartoon from 2000 anything.

Actually Chinese cartoons are pretty easy to distinguish between pre-Haruhi and post-Haruhi (2006)

Ratchet & Clank 2 / 3
Tekken 5
Dragonball Budokai Tenkaichi 2 / 3
God of War 1 / 2
GTA San Andreas / Vice City
Crash Bandicoot The Wrath of Cortex
Smackdown vs Raw 2008 / 2009 / 2010

It was the only space pirate image I could find from MP1. I think the art is quite bland compared to Prime 2 space pirates. So just ignore the resolution.

Prime 2's are mostly black and Prime's are mostly brown lol  Both "bland" as far as colors go but cool designs nontheless.

Standard pirate from MP2 (brown, black)

I like the first design a lot more.

I think the first one posted wasn't even a space pirate, it was a Chozo.

This in an in-game shot. I prefer this design and in fact the whole aesthetic more in Prime 1 than 2 but both games are so far ahead of most others in this regard that it's not even funny.

The Metroid Prime series and F-Zero GX come to mind.

No word on Jet Set Radio ?

Jet set radio future, yes, it falls under the general cel shaded umbrella, but jet set radio the original, hell no.  Not that it doesn't look all right, it's that the original was a clunky, clumsy mess of a game that doesn't deserve any praise ever.

Radio Future also happens to be a buggy, laggy mess too. The design, 3D art and OST are just awesome enough to make me forgot about his many flaws.

Toy Story 2: Buzz lightyear to the rescue and Buzz lightyeae of star command. While that are no where near to 6th gen 3D games, I think that hold up preety well.

Be it on PC or console, IMVHO games designed with care usually age quite well, just human characters' faces often age worse, but not if the graphics were cartoony, in that case, as long as the game was at higher than SVGA native res, it will age well overall.
An example of the former category is Thief series, environment aged very well, bodies decently, faces horribly. The games are still excellent to play.
Finally, once they reach a resolution high enough, and if dev team had artistic talent, 2D games simply are ageless.
