I think I will go for it soon. I want to play a lot of games I've never played before.

Yes, I would highly recommend the Vita! Either the older OLED model or the "slim" LCD model comes down to preference, really. That said, I would avoid the PlayStation TV, as not all Vita games are supported on it (Such as Uncharted: Golden Abyss).
As for memory card, I would recommend at least 16GB. 4GB is just pathetic, and 8GB fills up very quick (Many Vita games are over 4GB in size).
The Vita's library is nowhere near the size of the 3DS. But I believe the Vita's library has more variety and quality.

That's exactly what I'm wondering about.

There are some games I would like to try out on it like Metal Gear Solid, God of War, Sly Cooper, and Persona. I also want to download some PSP games into the Vita as well. I was wondering if you guys think I should get it. |
I have had a Vita since launch and I can honestly say that I have easily gotten my money's worth out of it. However I can't really reccomend a handheld console in this day and age. It is 2015 and smartphones play just as many great games as handhelds, and not only that but they can remote play now too.
If you really want to play Playstation games, get a PS4.
Sure go for it! I would highly recommend Persona 4 Golden along with MGS 1-3 (1 is on PSN while 2 and 3 are on the collection). There's also a fair bit of PSP games on the store which you can play on the Vita.
If there are enough games you want, then sure.
I bought a used one, played the games I wanted to, and then sold it. It's a nice little system but there just weren't enough games that I wanted to play to convince me to hold on to it.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
You should check this thread out on GAF. There will be a lot of scrolling involved, but you might find a few more games you're interested in.

I'm not interested in the PS4 either. I already have a game console of my choice (Wii U). Also, it's way too expensive to me at the moment.
