I don't know if it's already been said or not but it's the AC bundles, not regular SKU. So, 350 with 2 free games. At least until stock of it runs out, which should take a few months.

Oh you don't agree??? I'm talking about the company as a whole FYI, because that is all that really matters. |
MS really wants xbone to secure the US or even North America. While they are at it, they could also cut the price in the rest of the world, you know...

Microsoft can afford to lose money, more than they can afford to let the gap in worldwide sales get much bigger than it already is. Even with the price cut, the US seems to be the only territory that the cut really mattered in last time. Still can't keep up with PS4 worldwide though.

They should have at least kept the price at US$ 349, it just pissed off people who bought it in the last days. But well, if you waited for the original offer to end and got a X1 2 days later then you aren't exactly a bright person.
Anyway, keeping the pricee down is a sensible move. They are being conservative, it wasn't announced as a price but, but as an offer. So if it doesn't help outside of holidays they can simply return to the original price anytime they want. Marketshare is more important than profit, they can't let Sony create distance.
Microsoft has severe problems keeping to their guns lol
And yeah they have deep pockets buts whats the point throwing away money just to score draw in the US and be obliterated worldwide?
I suspect they aren't loosing as much as we think. If PS4 was profitable not long after launch it won't be long before xbox is profitable on 349 especially with how the holiday ramped up their production.
Its going to cut into their profits, but they cannot beat Sony otherwise, so they should just ride with the momentum until something gives, I guess.

don't worry... i'm sure they will find some way to make up for the costs. for example a rushed halo 5 or maybe quantum break will sure help saving money in the short term. i mean who cares about long term strategies these days...?
There were rumors about XB1 ACU bundles being overstocked. MS may want to put out some new bundles, like an Evolve bundle next month, so they need to clean the channel as well.
