If the consumers are morons, then yes. What a review actually says reveals a lot more than a final score.

I hope many reviewers will follow. I don't really need score. I buy games because of trailers and research and not reviews.

Good, good. I don't think scores are all bad, but having one single score for each game just doesn't work very well in many cases. Not saying the usual individually scored categories are good either, but some more abstract categories could do the trick. Until someone manages to perfect that, issuing no score at all should be the best thing to do.

And yes, I do like seeing review scores. But I also happen to think they reflect reality very poorly in general.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I think this is an excellent step in the right direction. We got too hung up on numbers, when a brief summary can explain the value of a game ten times better. Hopefully more sites follow suit.

very well done joystick. this is a good direction for gaming journalism. rotten tomatoes system was always vastly superior to meta and if enough journalist make this change maybe meta will have to change too.

i skipped the review for talos principle because i want to not spoil my game when it comes to ps4 but their summary at the bottom was a great level of informative.
