*Yawn* I can't play plans. Let me know when there is something concrete. Then maybe I'll buy an XBox One.

The Xbox and windows event in Redmon is happening sometime past the 20th. There might be some reveals there before E3. There might be some new details on he dash and windows as well.

When that happens I'll be excited.  But publishers have a habit of mentioning popular franchises to keep those fanbases alive without anything really in development.

True enough.

You mean the guys that made Kinect Sports.

Such as The Last Guardian. :(

Even though I have some doubts about Rare's capabilities these days, this is exactly the kind of thing they need to do though, to get a chance to prove themselves. I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing something concrete in the near future. Though as much as I loved the original Perfect Dark, I'm not sure I would be very excited for it now, given the last one they made. More excited to see Banjo though.

Last Guardian is a new IP not an established franchise, but I get your point.

I agree that Rare need to be given a shot to prove themselves. Iron Galaxy and Double Helix really made them look secondary with Killer Instinct. Luckily for KI fans and Rare fans Lobb is still around.

That's true, it is a new IP.
But yeah, I guess they're just playing off of people's love for ICO and Shadow of Collossus, is what I meant.

And yes, when Double Helix and Iron Galaxy did that. Actually, I was surprised that Keits was part of Iron Galaxy. Since you seem to know Maximillian, you might know of Keits as well? I only knew he was a tournament organizer, and developer for Dive Kick. But going from Dive Kick to KI is pretty huge.

Speaking of Max, for him to be working on the story of KI is pretty huge as well. And as you mentioned before, that seems to suggest that Rare didn't have much of a hands on role in the development for wahtever reason. I don't think they need to bring in a youtube content producer with no game development experience otherwise.

This will be a good chance for Rare to impress us. That is if Rare will be the primary developers of these games.

With Microsofts dollars for development and proven studios at the helm I don't doubt that they could revive some games, but if they are reviving Banjo, they will need some time and people with open world platforming experience. Hopefully they do that. I don't want Nuts & Bolts.

As for Keits, I don't know who that is. I know Filthierich who played Street FIghter professionally was working on KI as well with the previous developer. Do you have a link for his promotional material?

Ah, yeah Rich was the community manager for Namco, and he loves Tekken. Him and Mark Julio of MadCatz some times still commentate on Tekken tournaments. I've seen him play SF as well.

As for Keits, here's his Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheKeits
Don't have anything regarding promotional material as it came as a surprise to me a few months ago that he was in Iron Galaxy who are working on KI. I knew he worked on Divekick, but didn't know the name of the team he was in back then. Before that I've only known him as the organizer for the Ultimate Fighting Tournament every year. http://ufgtus.wordpress.com/

Nice.
I was planning on making a VG KI group. Want in? You seem to know a bit about fighters, and I am getting back into it since graduating from college.

Ah, I actually haven't played the new KI, only the old ones. But I understand it for the most part due to watching vids and tourneys back when it was new.
Though there's one thing I always wondered. Does a Counter Breaker work on any Combo Breaker version, or do you have to perform a specific Counter Breaker to break a specific Combo Breaker? For example, Medium Counter Breaker to break a Medium Combo Breaker?

Anyway, only watching and not playing gets a bit dull over time, and so I haven't seen many matches in a while. Nothing since Fulgore came out really.
Max said that Microsoft will be gauging interest for a PC port of the game though, and if that happens I can get the game and play it finally. Maybe then I should join. lol Because it seems fun, since it's a game where you mainly play the player rather than the matchup.

I follow the FGC tournaments and such though, and I know a bit about fighters now, thanks to the FGC and SF4, yeah.
I mostly play SF, Tekken and KOF. Though right now it's SF and Persona.

Counter Breaker.

You have to build up meter

I doubt they will make a PC version. I heard they scrapped the 360 version. I am a Tekken guy myself. I'll probably get that on the PS4 since most of my fighting friends are hell bent on not getting an XB1. Well see what they do on the 24th.

"He added that with Halo and Gears of War it doesn't make much sense to bring back a classic FPS like Perfect Dark."

Which is why they want to possibly make it a 3rd person stealth game.

Nice.. Hopefully those new games will end up well, unlike their unfortunate 360 counterparts..
