Xbox is the Genesis and PS is the SNES. Sega and the Genesis brand actually beat Nintendo in the US. Most people don't even know that. The Xbox 360 beat Wii and PS3 in the US as well, but lost world wide.

Personally, I find it interesting that one console can be so popular (Genesis/Xbox) in one country and so unpopular everywhere else.


Even with a year head start both systems managed to beat the 360 in sales WW and now the X1 does not even have a head start so it is getting beat from the start.

Huh? Vgchartz has Wii over 100 million units lol. I'm pretty sure it won last gen WW. lol

Sure, but not in the US. It's winning every single week now and has for... how many weeks? It's basically pulled even in the US. That's my point. That different countries prefer different brands and games etc. I find that interesting.

You know exactly what I said.  Ps4 is a quality product and imo and the opinion of most Germans it's the best console this gen. Their second favourite seems to be the wiiU. It's good too just lacks 3rd party support.

I live in USA and 1 out of 15 friends own a ps4, None of us care about PS4, the one owning the PS4 bought the XBox One due to no games.

The irony of you giving out about anecdotal evidence and then using your own. Yes we can all see the usa sales and they show us that your situation is a very unique and rare example.  Software sales also highlight your 1 friend with a ps4 was slightly mistaken when he thought it had no games.  The irony of that is he bought a console which actually had less games.

Yes but with still amazing sales. It needed to shake it's horrible launch.  They almost caught PS4 in USA. that is a massive turn around from one year ago.  MS with Phil in Charge is going Come back very strong, Sony will outsell them World wide but as massive games that drive people to the system launch, so will it's sales. Halo 5 is going to sell gangbusters, I also bet they will have a nice price cut ready. I'm thinking they will launch a slim this year, Cut price to $350, maybe even $299 for the holidays.

hate to say this, because i know you've probably heard it a thousand times, but that's the only way the xbox one can outsell the ps4 in their strongest territory, with insane deals and price cuts.
