Xbox is the Genesis and PS is the SNES. Sega and the Genesis brand actually beat Nintendo in the US. Most people don't even know that. The Xbox 360 beat Wii and PS3 in the US as well, but lost world wide.

Personally, I find it interesting that one console can be so popular (Genesis/Xbox) in one country and so unpopular everywhere else.


Even with a year head start both systems managed to beat the 360 in sales WW and now the X1 does not even have a head start so it is getting beat from the start.


Sure, but not in the US. It's winning every single week now and has for... how many weeks? It's basically pulled even in the US. That's my point. That different countries prefer different brands and games etc. I find that interesting.
