I think the best year was 2013 and the worst was 1995

Since they needed to focus devs on making Virtual Boy games, not that many GOOD games came out that year. Donkey Kong Country2, Kirby Superstar, and Yoshi's Island are great and all, but other years have so much more

2002, 2004 or 2014 for my favorite (I'm a huge GCN fanboy and I've never even owned the console). Probably 2011 for the worst.

Edit: Or 1995 for the worst. Both didn't have much going on.

2012 was a really dry year and not a lot of titles really stuck out for me. The best I am divided between 2001 and 2003, 2002 even. Many of my favourites are from there.
