2006 for me was the worst, the year I worked so hard to get myself a Wii only to be disappointed by the first party line-up. It just didn't do it for me, learned my lesson about buying a console first year without doing proper research.
Best was 2001 - Paper Mario, Poke Stadium 2, Mario Party 3, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, Smash Bros M
Worst was 2011 - 2011 & 2012 were terrible but Nintendo Land > Skyward Sword
1994-1997 were the best for me, can't pick just one.

Here in PAL land, 2011 saw the release of Xenoblade.
