I kinda only like watching 100% speedruns, like puncays 120 star mario64 runs

Some speedruns are amazing to watch, but I would like to see how fast it would go by finishing the game "legitimately", not using glitches and such.

No it would be like him using a move that should be illegal but there was an oversight and the rules havent been changed to disallow it yet. Thats why rules of sports are updated every so often, or for games we have patches. |

'Jodenstone was able to make the game think he was in two places at once. To fix the problem, the game inadvertently warped him into the final areas of Ganon's Tower.' If that isn't cheating then I don't know what is. |
That would be a glitch or exploit not cheating.
Whats next backwards walking is cheating =P

Speed runs have lost their appeal to me. The last one I watched was a minimalist speed run of Megaman X6. The only thing that goes on is intense trial and error. If I had a month to beat Ground Scaravich, I could do a speed run too.
X6 is a frustrating game, though. It's not legit hard, it's hard due to bad level design... But, so what. All any speed-run is, is a bunch of trial and errors. That's why I quit with the Cliffhanger speed-run I was going to do. If I have to go through it a million times to do it, anyone could do it, and it's a lot less special.
I watched it live as it happened. Joden's consistency with these extremely precise tricks is absolutely insane.
And with that, Swedish players hold the world record for all 3D Zelda's except Skyward Sword, which is pretty strange considering how few runners we have compared to the US.
About glitches, the whole point is to complete the game as fast as possible with no restrictions and no alterations made to the hardware or the software, meaning that anyone who buys the official products theoretically can beat it. Glitchless categories already exist, but don't get nearly as much fame because of how bland it is to watch several hours long runs that could easily be done by anyone, with little regard to their skill cap.
Great... Another person that uses glitches to finish games "fast"... Lame
