Isn't the PS4 already back on top in the UK though?

and if it it what does that have to do with the ONE perfoming massively better than the 360?

What does Xbox One outselling PS4 for a short period of time in two countries have to do with X1 outselling 360?

Perhaps if the OP wanted to keep the thread just about Xbox, he shouldn't have mentioned PS4.

Just a thought.

So it will sell 80m+ LTD?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

The "price drop whining" never ends.

Let´s just forget that the PS3 was $200 more expencive and Wii was severely supply constrained, and MS was losing more than $100 with each 360 sold...

But hey, X1 got price drop and removed a feature, so no sale is legit enought, right?

Yeah, I don't it will peak as high as the 360 but its sales looking health at the moment.

I said it in another thread: X1 is doing better than 360 all over the world except Japan, where the situation is miserable for all consoles. It is doing extremely well in Europe, tracking ahead about a million compared to 360 and the distance has only grown through the holidays. This is why 3rd parties will stay with the X1.

b-but consoles are dead! Analysts said so! Mobile platform is the future! /s

Well its not surprising. Its gone from $499 to $349 with 2 free games, in less than a year.

Xbox 360 keep closing the gap until Holiday come

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Because the X1 was heavily frontloaded, yes. The interesting thing will be to see how they compare in their second year.

Where's that graph that shows launch vs. sales for the following year (through September or October). Raw number wise, yes, XBone is ahead of 360 (thanks to its extremely front loaded launch compared to subsequent sales). Trend wise, it's below.

360 had 1.17M as of Dec 31, 2005, then had 7.99M at the end of Dec 2006. Selling 6.82M in 2006. XBone had 3.2M at launch and is at 9.4M now, so 6.2M sold so far for 2014. But it's only there after repeatedly dropping the price and packing in games for pretty much the entire year. To make that point stick, the 360 was sold nearly 5.8x its launch for 2006. XBone did less than 2x its launch for 2014.  But, I guess, on paper, I can't take away from the XBone. It will get passed 10M, so if that's all anyone wants to look at, be my guest. But, as Zekkyou said, it's one sided to state that it's ahead and just ignore the drastic measures MS had to do to get there. Especially when 360 did none of that and was supply constrained for its launch period. If looking at things in black and white makes you happy, I'm in no position to take that away from you

Offcourse we are aware of that. 360 didn't have a massive PR problem and therefore didnt require anything drastic. Circumstances are infinitely debatable but the results are forever set in stone.

At the very least stats like this shut up any remaining "RIP Xbone" haters. It's clearly here to stay.
