if it takes a hundred million system sales for people to 'realize' that then its quite obvious they never did. what happened is that all of the casual gamers HAD a Wii, and naturally what happens when everyone already has something? they don't need to buy it again.

it's different with a handheld, which are more prone to get broken and replaced. you can only saturate a market so much with a console

It's pretty amazing how much software Nintendo themselves shifted on the Wii and DS.

Could be far worse, if you look at the top 15 games on the ps3/360 you'll see the name call of duty pop up 14times out of the 30 games.... who are the real casual predictable gamers.

Aye, clearly the 21million copies of Kinect Adventures were all stand alone sales which made that the Number 1 game on the Xbox360 right?... right?

Games get bundled all the time, if not bundles from the manufacturers then retailers put packages together all the time of the more popular games to sell more systems, it would be hard for you to find a new console on sale over the holidays that doesn't have some game packed in with it.

When you think of the developement costs of stuff like NSMB and Mario Kart DS and then they sell 55million between them... and almost all at close to full price too, even now DS copies of NSMB sell for 30-40euros here new, must have made a killing on them. Pokemon games are the same... crazy legs and the games are rarely reduced even years later.
