Which people started to realise... Hence the Wii's early and fast downfall, as well as the Wii U's relative failure.

if it takes a hundred million system sales for people to 'realize' that then its quite obvious they never did. what happened is that all of the casual gamers HAD a Wii, and naturally what happens when everyone already has something? they don't need to buy it again.

it's different with a handheld, which are more prone to get broken and replaced. you can only saturate a market so much with a console
