it is pretty relevant. for example Dragon Age Inquisition currently has over and 85 critic Metacritic score, yet the user review average is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy lower

the reality is you can't base everything on purely critical reviews because some critics are paid off or pressured to speak more favorably to certain games. I think it is a pretty relevant stat that so few games (outside of Nintendo) receive high ratings from BOTH the critics and fans

why is that stupid? do yourself a favor and go count how many Vita games get 85+ rating from the critics and fans on Metacritic (I'll clue you in, not many). its hilarious how you discount something like that when the handheld competition as equal opportunity to create great games. of course is significant, Wii U or 3DS

Measuring by user score when games on all three competitors get zeros is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If anything it hints that if you aren't playing Nintendo you're less bitter about it.

I get the meta critic, but using user score too, that's just embarrassing.

it's almost like users on this site are not familiar with Metacritic- it is extremely rare for the a game to be universally loved by critics and fans alike. I would argue that the fan/user rating is almost more valuable than the critics, because critics are so often persuaded to review in certain fashions

I think anyone with a brain knows something is up with the critical reviews of Dragon Age Inquistion. for it to have literally 50/50 positive and negative reviews from fan is pretty polarizing. it's not a revolutionary game in terms of quality in the eyes of many people
