Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Has your Xbox 360 ever scratched your disc?

Yep it has happened to me, actually 2 out of my 3 games I have have been scratched (But it was because my dog came running in and tumbled down my xbox while I had it in vertical position, and the first time I didnt know and I moved the console and it got scratched)

My first 360 did. I'm onto an elite now with no problems. Knock on wood.

Nope. Not at all. My 360 has never scratched a disc. I fear RRoD more then scratched discs.

Yes, my previous Xbox360 has. It scratched my Halo3, but Microsoft gave me a new one, when I send my Xbox to repair and they change the DVD-drive. I haven't had problems after that. My brother's 360 just scratched his Devil May Cry 4, and Microsoft isn't gonna compensate it. Now he's trying to get a new one from the store where he bought that...Hope that works.

I don't bother listing my last-gen games (PS2, Xbox, GC) to my collection cause there's too many of them. ;)

No, never happened.

I haven't experienced it but my cousin has had 3 games ruined though that was back when he had a launch 360 and since the replacement as far as I know hasn't had any.

Man, Legend through a hissy fit in this thread. Come on dude, I try to stick up for you whenever people rag on you for being a troll, but you can't always dish it out and then whine when you have to take it.

People continually bitch about Sony products, i.e. cost, rootkits, etc., and why they don't use them, so CaptainPreferences has just as much right to bitch about a product that screwed him, regardless of who made it. He mentioned the disc being scratched before in a non-argumentative manner as some post in a different thread. I know I wouldn't be happy if I lost 2 games I spent $60 on because the console I was using had some reliability problems.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
