Forums - Gaming - can somebody explain to me how a 17 year old port, thats been done before, is a big deal?

I'm not interested in a FF7 port because I played that game a lot back then. If it was a remake, that would be different. I can understand them porting some old school rpgs that not a lot of people played in the states but it was well received back then, I would probably get it. Like the suikoden games, never played 1 or 2.

Beats me. I'm like you OP, don't understand it either. Hell, even if it was a real remake, I would rather have a new FF (XVI) announced than a remake. Although I wouldn't mind a remake.

It isn't a big deal.

I've never finished FF7, in fact I only just got to the part with the Golden Saucer or whatever, which is about 7 hours into the game if memory serves right. I'll probably play it on PS4 for 1080p, 50 poly models.

Me too, I played it on my PSP but the ROM crashed at the end of the first disc...

Delusion

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

I don't know why anyone would make a big deal out of it. I played the PC port back around 1999. I used a Pentium 2 with 160 mb ram and a voodoo 2 card. Now people, if you want to play the game, grab the PC version. Your PC can handle it!

this is like shit in the bed. they shouldnt even bother. already have it on pc and ps1

There announcement of this was as exciting as urinating on a eletrical fence.

too fucking lazy for a HD remake people have been wanting for YEARS. Im done with FF series. I dont care how they decide to screw up the battle system this time, im over it.

It would be the very first PS1 game on PS4. Backwards compatibility confirmed!

It is not a big deal by any means.
