can somebody explain to me how a 17 year old port, thats been done before, is a big deal?

I thought there was a huge change in the attitude of the audience after the trailer was shown. You could feel the disappointment.

An FF7 HD remake on PS4 would be the only game on the planet with power enough to stop me from playing FF 14: A Realm Reborn right now. I'd buy that in an instant. I never beat the original FF7. Got to level 50 on the first disc, and it got scratched..!

While I"m at it, FF 14 is ridiculous awesome. If you want a game that can kill WoW, this is it for real. Not even sure why anyone bothers with WoW anymore with FF 14 being so awesome! Great combat music, great encounters, great story. Greatness! =3

Is it digital or a physical copy? I wouldn't mind having a new copy to play, as it's an old game. Though I don't go for any of this digital nonsense

If a port of XII happens, it would be a great time to bundle FFVII, VIII, XI, XHD and XII HD onto one special edition bluray disc.

like they would ever bundle... lol.. if SE could sell the cd discs seperatly for 7,8,9 they would have done it.. FF7 part 1 of 3..

lol, they were pretty much a different company back then. Their whole mantra was different. Still can't believe they gave us 3 iconic games within a short space of time. Infact 4 including FFX, all withing like 4 years of each other. How can someone go from that do only delivering FFXIII and lazy sequels for a whole generation.

square gets on my nerves with this stuff. If you're not remaking FFVII, I don't care. Why they got hyped over a 17 year old port is beyond me.

I really don't know. SE probably just figured "Why not" and Sony just probably wanted to fill some time in the event. Neither realized how stupid it would look (Probably, we can only hope).

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.
