Forums - Gaming - can somebody explain to me how a 17 year old port, thats been done before, is a big deal?

Hmm... Interesting! I wasn't aware that this genius FFVII port was such a big deal!

Is it digital or a physical copy? I wouldn't mind having a new copy to play, as it's an old game. Though I don't go for any of this digital nonsense

If a port of XII happens, it would be a great time to bundle FFVII, VIII, XI, XHD and XII HD onto one special edition bluray disc.

God yeah. I would lose my shit if they did that. Can't be bothered with modern FF, I'd rather a nice easy way to play the classics over and over.

Well, it was misinformed. After the trailer people understood what they ment. I'm personally excited because I can Platinum FFVII now. I'm hoping FFIX gets the same treatment though I doubt it. I don't expect a remake for FFVII for a good while so it doesn't make a difference to me.

It isn't, other than to pretty much squash any future talk of a complete re-make.

On the plus side, it is FFVII on the PS4 and a hardware based improvement port of the original game. On the negative side, it's $15-18 (?) for a year old PC port.
