Forums - Sony - Is Capcom close enough to Sony for MH5 Vita?

There are always a possibility, but the highest one is seeing MH on PS4 rather then Vita, the chance to lift up Vita sales is quit difficult even if they releasing MH, it will not help that much. Seeing how FF type zero coming to console then we will see that type of policy on MH games, if they want it on PS platform then they will releasing the game on console, although i know that MH is a portable games .

I think it's time to let it go.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Nope. Monster Hunter fanbase have switched to the 3DS.

i dont understand why capcom wouldnt release this on both 3ds and vita. they would make shit loads of money on both platforms.

Because Nintendo probably chips in on development costs. Not to mention they seem to pay for translation and publish the games for worldwide release. All capcom has to do is make the game for Japan, and any extra cash that they receive from the worldwide releases is a bonus.

Id also imagine that a lot of Vita owners are likely to have a 3DS as well, so any extra overall sales probably don't justify the costs. Not to mention a likelihood that this is the last playstation handheld.

not until Vita at least reached 5m sold in japan...

That would be a genius move. It would revive the Vita overnight. Better than the SFV deal which I think is fucking pointless.

SF is still a big franchise so I wouldn't call that move pointless.

Meanwhile the Vita is dead and MH is one of the biggest portable franchises of all time.

I don't think Monster Hunter vita will happen, but I do think that Monster Hunter 4 HD exlusive to PS4 releasing in the fall of 2015 could happen. Then Monster Hunter 5 on smartphones in 2016.

Nintendo go 3rd first

HDS will be out by then for sure, lol and probably zipping past 3 million itself. 3DS sold 4.8 million in Japan in its first year I believe and that was with a bad post launch lull.

So HDS will probably overtake the Vita fairly quickly. '

3DS and Vita aren't spring chickens anymore, their generation honestly is probably approaching its twilight. 2015 will be the last "main" year for the 3DS, Vita will probably stop being stocked in the West after 2015 altogether.
