Forums - Sony - I'm convinced it's impossible to deliver impressive graphics today

I think we need one more console gen to see more realistic graphics. But PS4 is the first console with acceptable graphics for me, and its a very enjoyable console.

Well, more and more is expected from each new gen, I suppose. I guess you should just let them be.

These people will make a big fuss is the system is made $100 / $200 expensive to make it powerful. They get what they are paying. Lol.

You know Sony will always be guilty... they either are being to arrogant and asking to much for it, or they are too cheap and put weak games.

duduspace11 "Well, since we are estimating costs, Pokemon Red/Blue did cost Nintendo about $50m to make back in 1996"

Mr Puggsly: "Hehe, I said good profit. You said big profit. Frankly, not losing money is what I meant by good. Don't get hung up on semantics"

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

No, its necessary

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

i dont get it, the game looks realy realy realy good for ps4 game... sure,pc games that play more like techdemos look better, but this is a real game, and its on console.

Thankfully, it's not impossible to deliver amazing gameplay!

All is well!

haters gonna hate

Zelda U has better graphics.

the graphics were insane actually... It's just not that colorful. Nathan's brother scene wow'd me.

I remember when I first bought my PS3 and before all I ever played was my PS2, I thought the jump in graphics was going to be huge. I bought Resistance and quickly became very dissapointed. But over the years developer learn to optimize a system very well. Now Resistance looks last gen compared to games like The Last of Us and Uncharted 3 or Killzone 3. It'll take time but in 3 to 4 years were going to see some amazing looking games compared to what we have now.

Next gen is going to be awesome, console makers can't rely on making a system that can handle great graphics this time, they're going to have to introduce something different, something new.

TRUE VR.

That's what happens when you hype people up with a E3 trailer and then the gameplay doesn't look as good.
Same goes for Zelda U.
Both look great regardless.

I think the gameplay looks just as good as in e3. People bring up the rock textures, but they weren't even different at e3. Same with the areas in the distance lacking detail. It was the same in the e3 trailer. I think people are remembering it wrong, honestly.

I never thought the E3 trailer was all that impressive either.
