I like how people spin this big time. It was Sony that underdelivered in 2013 AND 2014, not Microsoft.

Why should they announce something at the VGAs? The show was meh for the last years and they just don't need to.
Sony on the other hand had to do something to win their fans back after a very lackluster first year. That is why they blew their load early.

This is so true. 

Why would they be there? So far we only know of what, two maybe three games coming out for them next year?
Halo 5, quantum break, possibly another forza and that's it. Crackdown, scalebound, gears of war are 2016 or later.

Sony on the other hand has a pretty full spring with the order, bloodborne, ultra street fighter 4, dying light, the witcher 3, dragon ball xenoverse, Godzilla, and more.

Dying light and the witcher are on Xbox One as well.
And you forgot Fable Legends and Tomb Raider as major Xbox One exclusives next year. And some smaller games like Ori or Screamride.

And Dragon Ball: Xenoverse is coming to everything not Nintendo. Unless Sony money hatted for exclusiveness.

I was clearly sticking with retail games. If I were to add all the digital titles on PS3 and PS4 the list would be about 5 to 6 times larger. 

Doubt it. I didn't even add them all. Also, these are all published by MS.

Just remember that small downloadable games had it's home on X360 until last year. I haven't used it much this year.

List wars are so stupid. Most of those games on any said list are gonna be average so suck. Only a few games are worth talking about in any given year.
