Forums - Nintendo - Tons of new Zelda U shown at Game Awards! What did you think?

Alright. The presentation was bad, because I don't know who thought off-screen was a good idea. World looks great but felt a bit empty, judging it from here.

I just wish they showed us a proper trailer, but HOLY SHIT THIS GAME LOOKS INCREDIBLE.

GAMEPLAY > CGI TRAILER

Nintendo never do CGI trailers (very rarely). He/she obviously meant a gameplay trailer. I agree! Get it done Nintendo.

Link has a boob.

Funny, I felt the opposite very thing has these misleading trailers. It was really nice to see in game player controlled gameplay. It needs optimization and to make it less baron, but at least it's honest and not misleading.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Link is a girl!

It looks good to me, want to see dungeons now.

Magic Meter is back, I like it. Now I just hope they put some enemies in the overworld and increase the difficult of the game compared to previous Zeldas, or at least give a difficult option. It looks really good for a Wii U game and the art direction seems perfect for a Zelda game.

Wind Waker HD and A Link Between World had a Hero mode option so hopefully this will be no different or just harder in general.

I love Zelda but...That world is fugging EMPTY, but huge and pretty

Kind of like FF15. Hoping they will fill it up like SQueenix promises they will.

Square specifically said that they took out most features from that demo because they just wanted to show the world...feels different here.

Why does it feel different?

I would guess there will be plenty in the world.  Pretty sure Nintendo acknowledge in Twilight Princess that the world was too big and empty.

Doubt they would do the same mistake again so soon.  Though i should say I don't want it too packed.  talk about immersion loss by having 10 enemies every 100 feet.  I want enemies in places that make sense, not just randomly tossed around every so often to fill the world.  Make random enemies strongholds that have no point other than being an enemy stronghold.  and other things that can be place that make the world seem real and full rather than just cluttered.

Wow

On topic.

I think people who complain about the emptiness are overreacting, the game has a long way to go. That beautiful world could be filled with a lot of content. Looks promising. I'd worry about the lack variety in level design and environment more to to be honest, but even that is pre-mature, we know very little about the game.
