No way, this is the best Mario Kart ever, and if you want challenge, ok, play Online, that´s all.

Thats it.

The only problem is once I'm starting playing online it's going to suck me in...

Oh yeah? They're BOTH casual compared to the original game. To be good and win races, the newer Mario Kart games are like 20% skill and 80% luck/items. The SNES was 80% skill and 20% luck/items. You couldn't win on the original unless you were a good racer while on the newer games, you don't even HAVE to be a good to win.

Oh. This doesn't apply to ONLINE. Of course they've changed "the formula" how items are drawn. I wouldn't be surprised at all if MK8 has at least two different calculations for offline SP and offline mp/online...

Yes it is.
And that's a GOOD thing.

Play online and get your rank up, the competition is fierce.

Mario Kart 8 is the best in the franchise. Just...try and unclench and enjoy it. People just need to start enjoying things rather than trying to place them in hierarchies.

The Game theorist thinks the power ups were nurfed to make the game more competitive and stop making the outcome of the race almost random. It more skill based this way because it's not just a luck game anymore. Don't know what that does to the single player because I never played it tbh

Mk Wii defines casual there is no skill at all when compared to Mk8.
MK8 even has advanced techniques like fire-hopping.
Mario Kart 8 is risk reward play style that has a giant skill gap compared to MKWii where a 3 year old could get first place just because he got the best items. Mk 8 is not like that at all you have to know the best way around the track and when to use the items.

This!!! The blue shell is for people with no skills... If I could I would remove it & the 3 red shells too, remove the horn (no need with no blue shell), give back the speed increase while on a star item. The coins are back so I feel better for that, just need to lobby for the return of the feather & true battle mode!!!

I don't think you know what the word casual means.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Double dash was the best in my opinion, then Mario kart 8 wii had too many blue shells, Also double dash having unique special items foe each character I really liked bring that back Nintendo

old skool

Not true. Mario Kart 8 is much tougher and thus more hardcore.

Even bad racers have a chance to win now.

I've never had trouble with any of the MK's so I'd consider them all casual, but fun as hell lol
