Edit: I say Street Fighter will bring more people to PS4 than Tomb Raider will bring top XBOX One. The Japanese market will more than likely flock to PS4 for this game. I know that it's also on PC but I don't know many gamers who have both a gaming console and a PC who would pick up a title like Street Fighter for the PC. And let's not forget that this is a competitive fighter with online capabilities. Tomb Raider's online was the only thing I dislike about the game. Just my opinion...

You do know that there only like 500 xbox one in Japan.... Most of them are a Microsoft Japan HQ. 

It's about what the customers demand, Street Fighter is a much bigger deal, especially if you concider the importance of E-Sports. Tomb Raider isn't a big blow to Sony if anything they will sell more Uncharted. But, the exclusive Street Fighter is a big deal for the fighting genre. This deal makes PS4 the main console for fighting genre, Street Fighter is a bigger franchise than Killer Insticts. But, having said that Xbox can focus and advertise other big franchise like Dead or Alive and they still have Killer Instict that's exclusive. PS4 is in the lead and deals like this really help them dominate over Microsoft.

The biggest way Microsoft could respond to this is with an exclusive partnership with Capcom.

Pretty much this, well except buying Street Fighter part . (don't care much for fighting games)

TR2 is something MS is help funding which is good for CD as 8 million + sales was a "disappointment"

The game sold 3.4 million in its first month

 

Game sold almost half of its total sales on consoles in its first month.  3.5 million in a month is not horrible.

Street Fighter 4 sold more than Tomb Raider

Street Fighter is the biggest 3rd party fighter on the market, which Microsoft (currently) have no real counter to. Tomb Raider, while brilliant, is easily countered by Uncharted 4.

Street Fighter is the bigger deal here.

Plus I know this is controversial, but X1 has had Killer Instinct, a continuously evolving and meaty game. Xbox gamers had their fighter fix for over a year and by next year the game will be even bigger through character additions and updates.
