It wasn't even down for 30 minutes. some stuff like friends list was just iffy for a bit. Thats solid defense for a DDoS.

I still can't get into any games with decent latency. Not sure what's going on. It's always been super quick before. This is the first time I'm experiencing lag on the Xbox One. Couldn't get into any games at all before. I don't think it should be allowed to happen at all on a paid service.

DDoS attacks are virtually impossible to defend against, and that's what makes them such a common tactic.

The only way to stop a DDoS is to block the IP address where the attack is coming from. But even this isn't perfect, since many DDoS attacks are like a "siege" with traffic coming from dozens, if not hundreds of IPs.

we have defenses against them. Just non practical enough yet for very larg companies.

no this guy is not with ISIS, its to lame if they they pretend to be ISIS, they just a wannabe hacker playing with DDOS attack. This guy is just a spammer, if they want to be a Jihadis they should attack Israel server or Iranian server.
