Forums - Sales - Black Friday anecdotes

Still saw plenty of PS4 at my local Walmart yesterday when I went to buy a new tree. Either people don't want a PS4 or they shipped a shit ton.

This was at around 2PM.

Considering that the PS4 is lighting up the charts online, yet hasn't sold out, I'm going with some beastly shipments.  And a place like NewEgg, which is hardly the mecca of console sales, has over 10K of them.

I think Sony got some beast shipments in. 22m shipped by the end of the year??

Don't think they would ship anymore consoles if they only sold 100k on BF.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I stayed at home on Black Friday.

I don't want to get trampled to death or shot and killed for my Ouya.

Why didn't the stores stopped the queues well short of the doors and let people in, in sections, I went to a football match recently and was in the away supporters section. They only let like 60 of us through at a time before searching us. It keeps everything calm and orderly instead of letting 300 people charge through a door at once.

They let like 30 people at a time at Best Buy. But it was always chaotic at Wal Mart with people cutting lines and jumping barriers, so it wouldn't make any difference. I gotta say the Funai TV thing from last year disappointed a lot of people, so they didn't feel like going this year.. $98 for a 1080p 40 inch LED IIRC.

I'm with you on this one, it appears that Walmart was, too:

“We’ve increased Black Friday inventory in every category, including hardware bundles,” Wal-Mart senior vice president of Entertainment Laura Phillips said. “We have tripled the amount of PlayStation 4 and other gaming consoles available.”

I personally sold a copy of Mario Kart 8 to someone. Nintendo saved.

I sold my PS1 and 3 games to my cousin. PS1 un-doomed back to life?

How could you sell such a thing? :o

i was joking :D sadly my PS1 wasn't respected at the time and it's now in the scrap! Luckily Sony put all the games I liked up on the PSN store! Every last one :D
