Forums - Gaming - Konami Should make PES Playstation Exclusive

Sony still have money. That's all I'll say about that.

They were limtied but they lasted a long time. In the PC the whole of November even. The online was dead before BF (read this from xbox owners) and no surprise considering they released half a game. It has potential but just like Destiny the sequel would want to be a whole lot better.

MS's first party line up involves a lot of games not made by them. That's what I'm talking about. Sony actually supported the PS3 into the very last year so a lot of their 3rd part developers were tied up. A good xample of this is Bloodbourne and The Order releasing next year.

Tomb Raider would appeal to some yes and those Xbox owners will be please whether it was exclusive or not. Meanwhile they pissed off a lot of Sony fans who will now wait for the game. A better option that this would be to use the money spent of timed exclusivity and spend it on a brand new game PS4 owners would be jealous of and will never get. That way Xbox owners are happy with tomb raider and even happier with their new MS exclusive.

Basically MS are being lazy and sadly they have the money to do so. Another great example of this was the 50M spent on timed GTA 4 DLC. They could have made 2/3 AAA games with that money. Bad practice and bad for the industry that.

It would have to be a ridiculous amount of money because going xbox exclusive will kill the franchise. I don't get why you're too stubborn to agree with me on this. You say if they got enough money to cover the cost of PS they would make it Xbox exclusive yet you don't think if they went PS exclusive and got enough bundles to cover the xbox profit they wouldn't do it?

And the deal wouldn't be so simple for MS. They can't just pay the money Konami would make off PS. In that case they would just stick with PS get the same money and keep all their fans happy. That deal is doing massive damage to their game so they would demand 10 times the money they would make off Playstation.

As you said MS isn't interested and the reason being nobody from Playstation is gonna get an xbox just for it and secondly the game wouldn't sell so it will be a big waste of money.

Tomb Raider also a waste now that it's widely known PS4 will get it.

And Sony loses a lot of money every quarter. Lets move on.

I am a Xbox owner and I'm telling you the population in Titanfall is not dead. The reality is most console shooters have declined in population. But the genre isn't dead. Multiplayer only and single player only games are not half a game. Your arguments on Titanfall are weak.

Sony exclusives also include games not made by them and Sony also spends a lot of money advertising games they didn't make. Is that laziness? Are they not confident in advertising their games? Who knows.

The Tomb Raider exclusivity is probably more of an effort to sway people that haven't upgraded to next gen. Many people buying X1 this holiday are doing so because MS did something to sway them. Tomb Raider should help next holiday as well.

Actually, the $50 million for GTAIV DLC was an advance. Hence, much of that had to be paid back. If they actually paid $50 million it probably would have stayed exclusive. $50 million for 1 year exclusivity is not a great deal.

Okay, MS would just have to pay to cover the sales AND a little bonus. Simple as that! Anyhow, its not worth it for MS. So lets just move on.

Not from the subject at hand, which is their games console unlike MS. You really should move on! It's not a multiplayer only game and it's a weak effort at both. Fiar enough if they just went with the online but even that is half baked. It's not the first time I've heard dead populations on Xbox games. There was a guy on here a while ago who sold his Xbox for a PS4 because he plays COD in Australia and he said he could hardly get a game for half the modes. That's ghosts on the X1. PS4 no problem at all and he switched consoles for that. The reality is if Titanfall was selling well enough the price would have been slashed. Hell even Infamous second Son is still a good bit more expensive. I'm pretty sure the online of the game is similar to Killzone, yes I can get a game but it's hardly booming and some of the modes you can't get full games anymore. That game was also slashed in price so it all makes sense to me.

Sony does advertise other peoples games but they also advertise their own. Nothing lazy about that they just want to advertise a wide variety of games. Same as MS. many people who are upgrading to the X1 are doing so as a result of the firesale that began in November. Forza, Sunset did nothing for Hardware sales and they were good exclusives. Hell even the over hyped Titanfall had to be given away for free and it couldn't beat the PS4. That tells me that tomb raider won't sway too many people either especially when it's fans on PS know it's coming in 2016. The reality is a much cheaper xbox swayed people. It's the only way MS has a chance against the superior console.

They may have got some of that $50M back but the reality is MS have done a lot of things similar that ultimitely are not exaclty worth it. They'd be a lot more popular if they spent more of their moneyhatting money on new dev teams like sony has done and get more first party games out. Instead of going for established franchises that just piss people off.

They done a huge deal for GTA IV as you know and how did that fare for them when GTA 5 came out? PS3 version sold way more. Just shows you that the world of PS is not exactly shook by this massive waste of funds. It just gives MS an image worse then they already had. Now lets move on good sir!

It shouldn't surprise you to see Titanfall cheaper than a game like Infamous Second Son. Titanfall lives and dies on having an active online population. If Titanfall genuinely had a dead population that would ruin the experience of that game. If nobody is playing Infamous SS, who cares?

I don't think beating Playstation was a realistic goal for X1. Frankly, the sales X1 is getting now wasn't even anticipated. Sony isn't doing much advertising of their own games because they aren't good. Instead they rely on 3rd parties to do the heavy lifting. Which is fine, atleast Sony accepts their 1st party games are weak and they will hopefully do better next year.

When Sony had money they would moneyhat popular IPs as well. Its not about pissing people off, its about doing what benefits their platform. If Sony had money this gen they would attempt to crush X1 like PS2 did with OG Xbox.

During the PS3 era, Playstation's world was shook. MS made a huge pricing error this gen and they're paying for it. The same error Sony made with PS3 and they're still paying for it because Xbox is still relevant.

Konami should make a Vita Version of PES.

So one minute you were saying the online is fine for Titanfall now you're saying that they needed to give it away for a tenth of the iriginal price just to keep it alive? Hell they've een giving the game away for free to many since the game launched. Doesn't sound very promosing for me. Obviously people aren't sticking with it. I play BF4 and that game has sold comparable numbers on PS4 to Titanfall on X1. The difference being on PS4 a shit load of people still playing and the game is still being sold a year later for a very good price. That to me tells me one game is good and the other average. Titanfall great idea, lazy execution. It's barebones stuff and half the game it should have been. A bit like Destimy. And Infamous SS, if nobody is playing that Sony cares, because the number of people buying and playing it decides what they can charge for it.

Sony's first party is fine but you're ignoring the over all picture, a lot of their top studios couldn't make games for the PS4's first year because they were tied up supporting the PS3 unlike MS. And heavily supported for the last 3 years, again unlike MS. Just because they haven't all dipped their toe in PS4's water doesn't mean their 1st party line up is weak. The only diff between them and MS is, MS went and paid a lot of money to match Sony's first year. They won't compete when all SOny's first party games are releasing because they've hardly any of their own studios making AAA games.

Sony still have money as you know but they don't need to crush anybody. They can sell 130M this gen and the Xbox can sell 70M. It doesn't affect them and they don't plan on throwing away a boat load of profit just to bury MS. Moneyhatting when the PS2 was selling like thePS4 and the GC and Xbox were selling like the Wii U wasn't expensive. Now it is and is going to be craxy expensive for MS for the rest of this gen now that PS4 is dominating WW. It will be truly sad if they keep paying the upped prices for the next few years because that's bad for the industry. They should just buy/create new studios and make their own new games. That's a win win for the industry but it's not the MS way.

You conveniently ignore the fact that Sony during the PS2 days had way more studios than MS do now. Yes they moneyhatted but at the same ime they put most of their efforts into making loads of awesome games. Imagine all the gems we would have missed out on if they spent all that money securing more exclusives. MS did very well with the 360 thanks  in part to Sony slipping up. They could have invested big time in first party and had a load of exclusive games made by them coming every year for the last few years of the 360's life. That would have given them big momentum into this gen and those devs could be making lots of awesome X1 exclusives for the X1 right now. You know next year Xbox might of actually had something to rival bloodbourne and the order. But no, MS are in it for the quick buck, the smash and grab. no long term vision. And that is why I believe they did have a chance this gen unlike you. They just went about the console business the wrong way.

Finally the PS3 did open the door WW for the xbox but with MS jumping into the gen a year early and 1.5 years in the EU they were always going to do decent either way with the way MS supported the console and with games like Halo and Gears so popular at the time.

They wouldn't have sold 80M if the PS3 did everything right and the PS3 would be well over 100M by now but the 360 would have made it over 50M no matter what SOny done. I'm pretty sure if MS had only double the sales of the previous Xbox they would have supported it for it's last 3 years and hit the ground running with the X1. But they had it too easy and got cocky. Bad idea under estimating Sony, the kings of home consoles.

They'd get more sales from a Vita port.

Cant you play the PS4 game on it...?

If you have a PS4 and a decent internet connection and are prepared to accept the lag and frame rate drop, then yes.

Absolutely no use whatsoever for being out and about though. Remote play really isn't all it's cracked up to be.

if you own a PS4 and PES you could play it on your Vita via remote play. It kinda makes making a vita version pointless when you think about it but in japan alone it would outsell the X1 version.

I was in spain a month ago and connected my vita through a fairly average internet connection to my PS4 in another country. It worked fine. No lag.

The lag and 30fps would kill it. Native Vita ver would be epic.
