Add this in for pro #4:
The bundle Sony gives in return for exclusivity gains them more sales than the Xbox will give them in total.
This then nullifies your #1 and #2 con.
More sales and the positive marketing nulifies #3 con.
Thanks for the reply though you bring up some good points!

Sure I will do it, but I don't know how you could possibly be sure Sony will come on board and make a bundle for Konami. I also don't understand how a bundle equates 30k+ of sales of the software (excluding new Sony hardware launch/revisions). Could you please give me some examples of games similar to the popularity and position that PES is in inwhich Sony made a bundle and proved to sale 30k+ from the previous year?
Lets take a look at Sony's previous Gen 7 & 8 bundles. (from wikipedia)
- PlayStation 3— Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, LittleBigPlanet (video game), God of War Collection, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Gran Turismo 5, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Assassin's Creed III, God of War: Ascension Legacy, PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale, LittleBigPlanet Karting, The Last of Us, NHL '11, Infamous (video game), Grand Theft Auto V, NBA 2K14, MLB 14: The Show, Uncharted 3, Epic Mickey: The Power of Two, MotorStorm: Apocalypse, MotorStorm, NHL '14, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2 and (Demo disc) [8] [9]
- PlayStation 4- Killzone: Shadow Fall, The Playroom, Knack "Destiny (video game)"[10]
Out of all those game, I think it is safe to say that only NHL 11 & 14, & NBA 2k14 could be used as compariable examples. (I dismissed 1st party exclusives because they will never be ported to the compitition unless Either Sony or MS go the way of Sega) MS bundles were not included because we are talking about the power of the console brand to boost a multiplatform title over 30K+. Assassin's Creed III is a toss up so I'll include it too.
From VGChart's numbers:
1. PS3 NHL 11 = 580K While XB360 NHL 11 = 710k in 2010.
PS3 NHL 10 = 560k While XB360 NHL 10 = 650k in 2009.
2. PS3 NHL 14 = 430k While XB360 NHL 14 = 450k in 2014.
PS3 NHL 13 = 610k While XB360 NHL 13 = 620K in 2013.
3. PS3 NBA 2k14 = 1.83 million While XB360 NB 2k14 = 2.20 million in 2014
PS3 NBA 2k13 = 2.36 million While XB360 NB 2k14 = 2.88million in 2013
4. PS3 Assassin's Creed III = 6.10 Million While XB360 Assassin's Creed III = 4.98 million in 2012.
PS3 Assassin's Creed: Revelations = 4.16 Million While XB360 Assassin's Creed: Revelations = 4.08 in 2011.
Assassin's Creed could prove a valid point, but it's target market and market share is differet than PES. I would compare PES more to the NHL sport series, but the data is very inconclusive from my point of view. There really is no garrantee that Sony's brand can boost PES, and there is no garrantee that Sony would be willing to create a bundle for this game, since it's exclusivity to the PS4 doesn't not classify the title as a system seller; if you look at most of those titles bundled in the 7th and 8th generation consoles, it appears to me that Sony likes to bundle 1st party developer games & is rather picky for 3rd party titles.
I want to agree with you, but companies don't usually go by instinct, they do market analysis before tying its brand to 3rd party products.
