That makes no sense, I just told you that they had a much larger operating income (aka operating profit) than Nintendo, Sonys game division had no operating losses. If you mean that Nintendo is operating with higher margins, then sure that's true but the difference between 7% and 9.6% in the last quarter really isn't as massive as you're trying to make it out to be.

That is correct - once they sell their 3.6 million target, they will begin selling Wii U s at full manufacture cost on their books again - in other words selling at a loss-

But Gameneaia s title is not correct or misleading at best- to say they are no longer selling at a loss is not right as their is a limit on how many they can sell at break even and as Iwata states clearly, it costs more to make a Wii u than they can sell it for - How they came up w their title based on their source info is baffling
To say they are no longer selling at a loss would imply the Wii u cost less to make than they can sell it for

3DS console sales (with New 3DS) = MONEY
Pokemon ORAS = Printing money
Wii U Console sales = Modest money
Smash bros = MONEY
Amiibos = The printed money is self replicating!!
All in all, should be a good profit for Nintendo mainly due to Pokemon, Smash and Amiibos will sell a shitload.
While the 3DS will have favourable sales and Wii U modest sales.

Be careful talking about currency exchange gains in other currencies. A currency gain in Yen, does not equal a gain in USD.
1) Say you have $2.0 Billion USD assets booked in Yen at 100 Yen/$ = 200 Billion Yen.
2) Say you have $2.0 Billion USD assets booked in Yen at 110 Yen/$ = 220 Billion Yen.
Woot, a profit of 20 Billion Yen! But it's a profit of $0 USD.

Not necessarily, it depends on if Wii U manufacturing costs have gone down enough between May when he made that announcement and next March when he expects those 3.6 million to be sold. It's completely possible that Wii U is sold at a profit at $299.99 next fiscal year.

Considering they will barely have had to manufacture any Wii Us till then, any cost reduction won t be due to manufacturing efficiencies or high volume - it may even cost more then due to having to crank up the manufacturing process again -
The salt here is big enough to melt the Artic. O_O Nintendo said that all it takes is one game sale to get Wii U profitable. I guess Nintendo magically needs to sell 10,000 games per console now to make money. I guess that the profit they made and will make in the future will all fall from the sky. I need some of that magical Nintendo money to fall on me too. Kekekekekekeke.

Last I checked, 3DS sales were fairly strong since 2012. It's not "printing money" at, say, 2006 DS levels. But it's making Nintendo plenty of money.
Wii U obviously is not, though it is making them some profit finally. I don't know that Wii U will ever "print money", but I do still think it'll wind up selling better than GC lifetime, eventually.
