I only had time to play offline yesterday, the new tracks are interesting and like most here best was Mute City. A bit let down by Excitebike, it didn't see random at all the few times I played it. From the retro side, Wario's Gold Mine seems easier, the mine carts boost you... Yoshi Circuit had some nice drifts (although first time I played it I was messing up), and SNES Rainbow Road is too easy.

Glad to hear that the VR has been fixed, what I hated the most was a disconnection costing you 20+ points :/

Played nearly 4 hours straight yesterday, although some of that was with the kids. Overslept this morning... Excitebike is growing on me. I'm seeing random tracks, although there are features like the mud puddles and the long ramp that seem to be in the same place all the time. SNES Rainbow Road must have been made easier because I can now do 3 laps without fear of falling off. And that Dragon Driftway music I can't get out of my head now. Mute city is my favourite. 100% antigrav.

Looks like they finally fixed the VR system. I approve.

As for the maps and vehicles, they are all excellent and well worth the price.

I haven't been online recently, what's changed? The last change to the VR system wasn't good.

As someone with over 10 000 VR points racing against people averaging 5 000, first place in a 12 player race usually resulted in getting 7-8 points. Second place gave me 1-2 points, third place beween 0 to minus 3, last place around minus 35-40 etc. Making wins hardly matter while occassions of bad luck were insanely punishing. And it didn't even matter during the rare occassions where the average opponent was at around 8k, because a racer with 2k points less than yourself was treated like an opponent with 10k less, in terms of points distribution.

Now I only have to place about one or two places above half of the participants to gain points, and wins can once again give me over 20 points.

I'm pleased to hear it. Difficulty with progression after the last update was one of the reasons I've been playing less. I don't care about the score per se but you still like to feel like you're making some 'progress'.

The ramp that leads you to the Master sword in the Zelda track only comes out if you hit the 3 anti-grav boosts just before it! Pretty neat little puzzle for a Kart game, don't you guys agree? :)

the DLC is pretty awesome

Yes I absolutely love that part and it's actually not that easy to pull off, atleast for indrift bikes with poor traction which are mostly all the combos I use, but that just makes it more satisfying when I do get it!

I use a similar bike combo as well. Haven't tried it yet, but I heard braking while drifiting helps for that section.

I got it and it's great but it's hard to care about anything on Wii U with Smash so close
