Hey, that's a great news.

Man, what a strange comment to make, especially when you are making new IPs yourself. Anyway, like you mentioned, this proves that a new IP will sell if it is quality (although the branding helps a bit as well)

Odd then that they've released a few new IPs themselves this year and last year... |
Which is why they also said they won't be making new IPs unless they can make numerous sequels from it.

Does this qualify as new IP? It's using the LoTR license after all.

Ehhh... New IP in terms of gaming at least.

We are commenting on this Lord of the Rings based game right?
I just finished it today, not game of the year for me, but solid fun
The end was a bit rubbish in all reality, though I was a bit OP. It's not like I'd done all the side quests or anything, but once you get "warmed up" Batman Arkham Asylum Shadows of Mordor has pretty easy combat, to me at least. It was almost as if I'd played it before and spent hours trying to get all the challenges
While I really liked using the grapling hook on the gargoyles shadow strike as a really fun way of moving around the arena to assess it with detective mode wraith vision.
But it was fun. I just didn't care about the story at all, despite the really good cut scene graphics. The climbing was also a bit meh, I'm rarely a fan of being able to just charge up any wall without a semblence of thought. Also photo mode was nice, even if I didn't have as much fun as I did with neon in inFamouses
So overall, well done. Now make the next one even better!

This isn't a new IP
The IP is Lord of the Rings

ubi have talked out their ass about absolutely anything and everything this past year. iIt's a shame they own so many good franchises.
I just rented this on the X1, I've played it for about 2 hours and I like it. I'm probably gonna play a lot next week.
But right now I'm addicted to Forza Horizon 2.
