There are certain expectations when it comes to amount of content vs price and when a game doesn't fit these expectations, it is worth telling the consumer. It is an important piece of information that the consumer may not have had otherwise and can often be critical to their purchasing decision. Deducting points because the publisher didn't send out a review copy tells the consumer nothing that isn't readily apparant by the game itself.
It seems that we have come to an agreement that not getting a review copy does not belong in a review, and now the only issue is with scoring and I really don't want to argue this. There are a lot of problems with review scores and I personally believe that they do the nuanced opinion of a (good) critic a disservice and game reviews would be better if they included no scores. GoNintendo's RMC writes some of the best reviews for Nintendo games without a score and they allow me to formulate my own opinion about what his positives and negative mean to me, instead of assigning an arbitrary value to how important everything is. So whether or not you think price should have an impact on scores is pretty much irrelevant to me...
