FACT:

for EVERY game selling less than 1 Mio. copies on the Wii U there IS ALSO a game selling less than 1 Mio. copies on PS4 or XOne !!

That means: despite PS4 and XOne having a installed based TWICE as large together developers ARE FORCED to MULTIPLATFORM as PS4 and XOne gamers are NOT BUYING ENOUGH GAMES to VALIDATE AN EXCLUSIVE release.

Ouch. Truth hurts.

For over 90% of the titles PS4 and XOne offer the SAME EXPERIENCE as no developer can afford to leverage Kinect, Move or other console specific features to their full potential (which means being exclusive).

Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Titanfall. All over 1 million while being console exclusive to Xbox One with Sunset Overdrive soon to be another. Not buying enough games?

Name me 1 3rd party game over 1 million for Wii U.

Yeah. NOT BUYING ENOUGH GAMES. Otherwise much MORE DEVELOPERS would sell also over 1 Million copies.

??? 2 call of duty games, Destiny, Battlefield 4, Watch Dogs, FIFA, Assassin's Creed are some 3rd party multiplats over 1 million On Xbox One. And it doesn't even mention the ton of sales they get on PS4.

I'm still waiting for you to name 1 3rd party game over 1 million for Wii U.

That's not the reason. Why would you purposely limit the amount of potential customers you can have. The more potential customers the better!

Next are you going to say x game shouldn't release in the US anymore because it sells more in Europe or something like that? Any developer that goes exclusive by themselves are idiots. The only reason they should go exclusive is if there is something beneficial to it (such as being paid for it, getting development costs funded, exclusive marketing deals etc).

It speaks for itself that "ONLY POSSIBLE" is missing in your "beneficial to it" list.

Red Steel 2 was only possible on Wii.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz was only possible on Wii as there was no Move available at that time.

Everything using imersive FPS mechanics is best on Wii and Wii U.

Everything Point & Click will be better if not only possible on Wii and Wii U.

Everything using a map and or menu systems for switching weapons is predistined for being better on Wii U.

Everything utilizing drawing will be only possible on Wii U.

On the other side Kinect and Move are almost dead as even Microsoft and Sony do not care anymore about them and gamers are simply not buying those devices.

Why should any developer take the extra effort to leverage the unique PS4 or XOne capabilities if the MAJORITY of GAMERS will not be able to experience it?

Quite the opposite on the Wii U: 100% of gamers have a GamePad. And I bet that at least 90% have also at least one WiiMote and Nunchuck...

I wonder who's alt this is

There is None. And it doesn't come as a surprise. It only shows that I'm right saying that selling on the Wii U means leveraging the Wii U unique capabilities.

But you too can not name a single investor being more happy loosing money on the PS4 or XOne than on the Wii U...

Neither red steel game sold over a million copies. Wii owners DON'T BUY ENOUGH GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's see....

FPS: Best on PC actually.
Point & Click: WAY better on PC...
Map or menu systems: Better on PC
Drawing: Can also be done on mobile phones or tablets. Or with accessories PC or console. Or hey, even the Vita...

Yeah.... Kinect and Move are about as dead as Wii motion control...

Why should any developer take the extra effort to leverage the unique Wii U capabilities if the MAJORITY of GAMERS will not be able to experience it/don't even want it?

So angry skipping some words?

IMMERSIVE FPS. Not just FPS. Of course - you can't know because Move didn't deliver as promised by Sony.

And guess what: Wii U gamers can too buy a PC, tablet or mobile phones. I guess most of them have them all. And a 3DS too.

Red Steel 2 selling less than a million copies was no wonder. At release time the Wii was already cracked. Which is neither the case with the Wii U nor with the HD-Twins. Red Steel 2 did well given the circumstances.

A Red Steel 3 would sell easily over 1 Mio copies as there is simply no other game utilizing WiiMote+ & Nuchnuck for shooting and sword fighting.

People are trying awfully hard to prove that games which doesn't feature a cartoon style character are the same, huh? I do admit that makes me chuckle.

It's kind of pitiful, isn't it? This need by a few Nintendo fans to marginalize anything that they don't have? Yeah, we know you don't have a Halo or an Uncharted or a God of War or a Sunset Overdrive but how can anyone think those games are the same? That's silly and you know it.

Sure. As Halo, Uncharted, God of War have seen their first title released on the HD-Twins, it is of course not possible to have something with XBox 360 or PS3 graphics running on the Wii U.

It is also known fact that revisiting any of these games on the XBox 360 or PS3 is not fun at all as the gameplay experience suffers that much from not having up to date graphics.

If this is the case - you know what - then I just don't need Halo, Uncharted, GoW, CoD or whatever didn't get released on the Wii U as its core mechanics and gameplay just don't offer enough value to me and most of the other Wii U owners.

that´s probably the reason why there are still big active online communities on games like gow1 and halo3,

a game can look good and have excellent gameplay

and nitendo relies a lot on graphics since they have the same gameplay for years

One who seems to think games cost 1.5million to develop...... can we just ignore him, it's making the rest of us look bad and you're never going to change his mind.

Although I will say exclusivity can sometimes be a boon for a titles sales, as sometimes a title being exclusive can make it more interesting to that console owner. Multiplat doesnt necesarily = more sales/profit every time.

Firstly... you spelt losing wrong...

Secondly... why would anyone be happy losing money? I could name plenty of developers that are happy making tonnes of money being multiplat though

Not a native english speaker.

So from a investors or developers perspective it doesn't matter on which platform a game does not sell.

While PS4 and Xone being a much larger market when going multiplatform, it also means much more competition. So much competition that MOST games sell LESS than 1 million copies. It isn't that far stretched to think about developers being happy to sell 300.000 copies combined as there are many titles out there selling only a fraction of that.

Of course those titles almost have cost "not so much" to make. But they are competing with those big titles about the gamers attention and money.

So: IF there would be less AAA titles on PS4 and XOne the small titles sales would double given that gamers spent the same amount of money on each platform.

And there isn't much difference from the Wii U than the PS3 and 360 except the exclusives and they have six more years of third party games.
