Next are you going to say x game shouldn't release in the US anymore because it sells more in Europe or something like that? Any developer that goes exclusive by themselves are idiots. The only reason they should go exclusive is if there is something beneficial to it (such as being paid for it, getting development costs funded, exclusive marketing deals etc). |
It speaks for itself that "ONLY POSSIBLE" is missing in your "beneficial to it" list.
Red Steel 2 was only possible on Wii.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz was only possible on Wii as there was no Move available at that time.
Everything using imersive FPS mechanics is best on Wii and Wii U.
Everything Point & Click will be better if not only possible on Wii and Wii U.
Everything using a map and or menu systems for switching weapons is predistined for being better on Wii U.
Everything utilizing drawing will be only possible on Wii U.
On the other side Kinect and Move are almost dead as even Microsoft and Sony do not care anymore about them and gamers are simply not buying those devices.
Why should any developer take the extra effort to leverage the unique PS4 or XOne capabilities if the MAJORITY of GAMERS will not be able to experience it?
Quite the opposite on the Wii U: 100% of gamers have a GamePad. And I bet that at least 90% have also at least one WiiMote and Nunchuck...
